PH TV Update: ABS-CBN posts PHP 12.6 billion in revenue in 2025

In a recently held annual stockholders’ meeting for ABS-CBN Corporation (PSE: ABS) on August 19, 2026, ABS-CBN COO Cory Vidanes shared that Gandang Gabi Vice, one of the comedy talk shows hosted by Vice Ganda, which last aired on the Kapamilya network through its free-to-air broadcasts on March 8, 2020 (less than two months before its franchise expiration), will soon return on Kapamilya Channel and iWant, and will also air on GMA Network within September 2026.

Additionally, following the success of the past two seasons of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition, aired under a collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Network, the company’s COO also announced that it will return for its third season, titled “Collab 3.0”, and will feature a new set of civilian (regular) housemates selected through online auditions, which commenced a few days earlier during 24 Oras.

The upcoming regular season of Pinoy Big Brother will feature civilian housemates aged 18 to 35, and auditions are now open worldwide via the ABS-CBN Join Now website. The auditions for PBB Collab 3.0 will close on August 31, 2026, at 23:59 (Philippine Standard Time, UTC +8).

Its previous regular season of PBB was Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11, which featured twenty housemates aged 16 to 32, including notable ones like Fyang Smith, Kai Montinola, Kolette Madelo, Rain Celmar, JM Ibarra, and Jarren Garcia, to name a few.

ABS-CBN also shared that the new PBB Collab 3.0 will move to a new PBB house designed to be more cost-efficient for production, and it is scheduled to premiere on several ABS-CBN and GMA platforms in October 2026.

Furthermore, ABS-CBN also shared that “Kabayan” Noli de Castro will remain on medical leave following surgery last year. Francis Toral, one of the company’s Integrated News and Current Affairs heads, said that Kabayan will look forward to returning once he’s fully recovered.

At this time, TV Patrol, where the well-known news anchor has appeared for decades since it first aired, Alvin Elchico, Karen Davila, and Bernadette Sembrano will co-anchor the flagship news program daily, alongside several senior journalists being tapped for news and special coverage.

Grant Orbeta, the head of real estate and development, shared that the company plans to consolidate its operations in Quezon City, Metro Manila, and relocate them to the Eugenio Lopez Communications Center once the sold property is turned over to Ayala Land by mid-2027.

Carlo Katigbak, the president and CEO of ABS-CBN, delivered his speech during the annual stockholders’ meeting and shared that the Kapamilya network posted the highest revenue in 2025 since the ABS-CBN Shutdown in 2020.

In 2025, we brought revenues to PHP 12.6 billion, our highest since the franchise loss. We have done this while fundamentally changing our cost structure, CLK shared.

In the first half of 2026, ABS-CBN reported that its Content Production and Distribution business had generated over PHP 5.76 billion in revenue, 9% lower than the same period last year. It also said that setting aside election campaigning and one-off items in both years, the segment’s recurring net loss showed a 1% improvement, and its recurring EBITDA was 2% higher than the same period last year.

ABS-CBN delivered a small number of films and major events in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year, when revenues were boosted by BINI’s sold-out concert that took place at the Philippine Arena, and the strong performance of My Love Will Make You Disappear. A portion of the decline was covered by higher consumer sales and by growth in international syndication and co-productions.

ABS-CBN would remain open to media partnerships to expand its content, as chief partnerships officer Roberto Barreiro shared that it will continue to explore opportunities to create more content and serve its various publics as best as it can.

CLK also shared that the global reach of BINI through Coachella 2026 in California and 2026 Summer Sonic in Japan (and has hit more than two billion streams across various music platforms), the leadership of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and It’s Showtime, three of the Star Cinema-produced films of 2025, including My Love Will Make You Disappear, Call Me Mother, and Meet Greet and Bye, which achieved a combined box office performance of PHP 900 million, collaborating with GMA for PBB Celebrity Collab Editions 1.0 and 2.0, online original series The Silent Noise and Sosyal Climbers highlight their global streaming reach through Prime Video and Netflix, surpassing over 55 million subscribers on their YouTube channel and its leadership in Southeast Asia, more than eight million live stream views during the Halalan 2025 coverage, and ABS-CBN Foundation served 30,000 families in 2025, also attributed its dominance as the Kapamilya network of its own.

Apart from the PHP 12.6 billion in revenues generated in 2025, ABS-CBN posted a cost reduction of PHP 6.9 billion, 54% less than in 2025; a PHP 8.5 billion reduction in debt (by 58%), and PHP 2.5 billion in recurring net loss (down from PHP 8.3 billion in 2020).

In 2026, ABS-CBN delivered Coco Martin’s Sigabo, Someone Someday, Love Is Never Gone, The Loyalty Game, Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, Everybody Sing, ASAP XP, several iWant Original Series and Microdramas (i.e., Miss Behave, The Chambermaid’s Daughter, Twist of Fate, and Will You Fake Marry Me), Tayo Sa Wakas, and many others, with more shows, series, and films will soon arrive to several on-air, online, and on-ground platforms.
