On September 30, 2026, ABS-CBN Corporation (PSE: ABS) announced that it will remain part of the Lopez family as new investments come in as part of its efforts to build and improve its media and entertainment production business throughout the company.
Recently, its stockholders approved the PHP 6 billion investment in the company and the issuance of additional shares for the new investments, which was announced back in August 2026. They also approved increasing the number of members for the ABS-CBN Board of Directors from seven to nine, accommodating more representatives of the additional investors.
The new investments are from companies representing three branches owned by the Lopezes, including Crème Investment Corporation, Mantes Corporation, and Presta Holding Company, Inc., all of which have committed to allow the subscription of an aggregate of PHP 2,200,000,000.00 in shares using personal resources, as well as Lopez, Inc. (with PHP 300,000,000.00 in shares) and new investor I&C Holdings Corporation (with PHP 3,500,000,000.00 in shares). The approval of these proposals was approved by stockholders, who represent about 83% of the company’s outstanding voting shares.
The approved changes to its Articles of Incorporation, including the increase in the number of shares the company may issue and the expansion of its Corporate Board, will be submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for approval.
To date, ABS-CBN has continued to reach audiences through linear and online platforms, including television, video streaming, digital, film, music, live events, and international markets with its shows, movies, news, music, and other Filipino content.
