The following DRPS PHCA Free Blog Post is an update regarding the Analog Switch-Off in Metro Manila and nearby provinces, published today (October 31, 2026, 00:03).
Various reports shared online state that as of October 31, 2026, analog broadcasting for ALLTV2 in Metro Manila continued to broadcast ABS-CBN’s programming (as an affiliate of the ABS-CBN network) on Analog RF 2, and may end its broadcasts on November 22, 2026, the NTC-mandated month for the analog switch-off for television stations broadcasting from Metro Manila and receiving in NCR and nearby provinces.
Contrary to our previous post we’ve shared, including their announcement involving the analog switch-off for ALLTV2, which was scheduled for October 30, 2026, it is unclear whether the analog switch-off for that channel must follow the NTC’s mandate on November 22, 2026, as the other television stations in Metro Manila continued to operate on analog, subject to Memorandum Circular no. 05-11-2025, which involves the guidelines for the analog switch-off.
As of now, the Philippines’ National Telecommunications Commission and the owner and operator of ALLTV2, Advanced Media Broadcasting Services (AMBS), Inc., haven’t issued any statements or announcements on the analog switch-off for these stations.
The analog switch-off for all television stations in Metro Manila that still operate on analog alongside the digital one will affect all viewers located in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, and portions of Pampanga, Bataan, and Laguna.
Viewers are still advised to switch to digital on or before November 22, 2026 (for Metro Manila and nearby areas), to continue watching free-to-air television services and to avoid further inconvenience by purchasing a Digital Set-Top Box and installing it on a non-DTT-ready television set, or by purchasing a DTT-ready set with an ISDB-T tuner built in and installing a UHF-capable antenna, and completing the on-screen instructions upon first-time switch-on and pressing the “SCAN” button to begin the process of scanning all available channels in their area.
Viewers elsewhere in Metro Manila and nearby provinces are also not affected by the analog switch-off, as the analog switch-off is a phased transition process, meaning that the analog broadcasting in other parts of the country may soon phase out on a different, undisclosed date. It is still advisable to switch to digital even if they are not in the areas affected by the switch-off on November 22, 2026.
Further updates regarding the analog switch-off in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will soon be provided if more detailed information is received, and will be shared on DRPSPHCA.com and on the DRPS PHCA social media accounts.
