Fake News Alert – March 22, 2024

MAG-INGAT! We are at DRPS PHCA to beware of these Fake News posts in relation to Philippine Television and Radio that we have seen about more than a week after our last Fake News Alert post:

A certain Facebook Post from “Renzo”, claiming that GMA’s own Saturday Night Comedy Show, Pepito Manaloto – Ang Tunay na Kwento, will air it’s final broadcast by May 4, 2024, and he has claimed that this was sourced from several Facebook/Social Media Posts of HOLA! and DRPS PHCA.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
We wish to notify the public that we, DRPS PHCA, along with HOLA! DIDN’T PUBLISH A POST on Facebook or any other social media platforms that Pepito Manaloto will end it’s broadcast by May 4, 2024. This fake news, however, was not also posted on several social media accounts of GMA Network, GMA YouLol, and Michael V. and thus, this is a FALSE AND MISLEADING CLAIM. Please stay tuned on several social media accounts of GMA Network for more updates about Pepito Manaloto, which shall be aired on Saturdays at 19h15.

Again, like the fake Pepito Manaloto-related news from “Renzo”, he has also claiming that Black Rider, on GMA Prime, shall also be extended it’s timeslot on Saturdays at 19h15, upon Pepito Manaloto’s end of broadcast claim. This claim was also sourced from several posts from HOLA! and DRPS PHCA on Facebook.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
As we said earlier in our previous Fake News Alert above, we wish to notify the public that we, DRPS PHCA, along with HOLA! DIDN’T ALSO PUBLISH A POST on Facebook or any other social media platforms that Black Rider will also be seen on Saturdays, and it was also not posted or announced on several social media accounts of GMA Network and GMA Public Affairs regarding Black Rider’s timeslot change. Thus, this is a FALSE AND MISLEADING CLAIM. Please stay tuned on several social media accounts of GMA Network for more updates about Black Rider, which shall only be aired on WEEKDAYS at 20h00 after 24 Oras on GMA Prime.

A Facebook Post from a well known controversial TAPE defender, “BES EVERYTHING” (formerly “BES PHILS”) has claimed that Tahanang Pinakamasaya!, which aired it’s final taped broadcast on March 7, 2024 (the final live broadcast was on March 2, 2024), will shall be returned very soon on GMA’s sister channel, GTV.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from TAPE, Inc., GTV, and GMA Network that Tahanang Pinakamasaya! shall return on GMA’s GTV in the future. Thus, this is FALSE AND MISLEADING.

​As you might probably know, Tahanang Pinakamasaya! aired it’s final live broadcast on March 2, 2024 and ultimately, aired it’s last taped broadcast on March 7, 2024, before it has been replaced with GMA’s interim movie block, Lunchtime Movie Hits, which is slated to end by April 5, 2024 and will be replaced with ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime on the following day, upon their contract signing between ABS-CBN and GMA last March 20, 2024. TAPE however, remains active at the moment even after Tahanang Pinakamasaya’s end of broadcast as well.

A Facebook Post from “Joselito” (whichever it has been masqueraded as an Anonymous Participant of a Facebook Group) has claimed that ABS-CBN will be the newer franchise holder, upon the revocation of the franchise of a controversial TV and Radio Network, SMNI, last March 20, 2024.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from ABS-CBN that they will be applying for a new franchise once SMNI’s broadcast franchise was revoked last March 20, 2024. Thus, this is FALSE AND MISLEADING.

We all know that ABS-CBN was forced shut down by the government last May 5, 2020, and it’s franchise renewal application was rejected last July 10, 2020, so your favorite Kapamilya Shows, as of today, can be seen on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, it’s Free-to-air partners, A2Z, TV5, GMA (It’s Showtime and Star Cinema Movies), BEAM TV (Knowledge Channel), and ALLTV (replays of shows only), it’s cable TV channels backed by the Creative Programs, i.e. ANC, Teleradyo Serbisyo, Metro Channel, Cinemo!, Cinema One, and etc., and online streaming platforms on the internet (including iWantTFC), so ABS-CBN will do not care about the franchise application/renewal anymore and just produce their programming to these partners and in-house services instead, since because they are currently a broadcast content provider and creator.

We are deeply concerned on the Facebook posts from “Renzo” and “Joselito” who are using the name of “DRPS PHCA” and “DRPS Philippine Commercial Archives” on their sources that they’ve claimed on each of their Fake News Posts everytime we’ve seen in the past or in recent times, so we are at DRPS PHCA to inform the public about this.

Please REFRAIN FROM USING “DRPS PHCA”, “DRPS Philippine Commercial Archives”, our YouTube Channels, “DRPS One”, “DRPS Two”, “DRPS Three”, “DRPS Xtra”, and our other properties, including “DRPS PHCA Online”, “DRPS PHCA Social”, “DRPS PHCA TV Ad Listings”, and etc. (i.e. other names like HOLA!, Jeff Oli Gar TV, Kapatid Insider, Solid Kapuso Latest Updates, and etc.) on your posts that:

• It has not been posted on our social media accounts
• Has no announcements regarding to this
• Has no such news regarding to a specific topic
• And among others.

Using the above names mentioned, whether it is from DRPS PHCA or not, will result into a PLAGIARISM because this is part of an example for falsifying the citations of each of our/their news and posts we/they provided for everyone.

In addition, the term “DRPS PHCA”, “DRPS Philippine Commercial Archives”, and other related names and etc. are all OWNED by DRPS PHCA and the use of these names mentioned without prior announcement on our official social media pages is illegal. So please don’t use our name for these posts without prior proof, screenshots, sourcing by placing the post’s URL, and etc. So please, think on it before clicking on anything.
