DRPS PHCA Free Newsletter (3/28 to 4/3): Blood vs. Duty, premieres April 6, 2026, at 20:00

Weeks after FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s finale and The Alibi’s premiere on the first slot of ABS-CBN Primetime drama block, another Kapamilya show will premiere on the 20:00 timeslot on April 6, 2026, titled Blood vs. Duty, headlined by Richard Gutierrez, Bela Padilla, and Gerald Anderson.

As a result of the programming change following What Lies Beneath’s “Kabog Sa Dibdib” on-air finale taking place this Holy Wednesday, April 1, 2026, The Alibi will move to a later timeslot of 20:45, effective on the day when Blood vs. Duty premiered. Additionally, subscribers of Netflix and iWant can watch the new Kapamilya series in advance, on April 3 and 4, 2026.

Earlier, on March 21, 2026, the official poster for the series, designed by Justin Besana, was revealed, which introduces the characters to be portrayed by the lead stars, including Baron Geisler and Barbie Imperial.

A few days after the poster reveal, the full trailer was released on all social media accounts of ABS-CBN and JRB Creative Production, the production entity behind the series (including the past series like Sins of the Father, Nag-aapoy na Damdamin, Mars Ravelo’s Darna, and Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin) and headed by Julie Anne R. Benitez and creative head Dindo Perez, which sparked excitement and heightened anticipation among netizens due to its fresh narrative, intense action, and great casting.

The trailer introduces Marcus (Richard), Lara (Bela), and Felix (Baron) as government agents on a mission to mitigate rampant gun violence. Gerald is Jalil, a protector of a local fishing community, brother of Jamilah (Barbie), and beloved son of Datu Rahman, played by Jaime Fabregas. Their two worlds will collide in a fight to crack down on illegal firearms, but there is a possibility that a looming attack will unmask the culprit or shield the real perpetrators, and a long-buried secret would trigger a war between them.

Apart from Richard, Bela, Gerald, Baron, Barbie, and Jaime, the action-packed series will also feature a star-studded cast, including Rommel Padilla, Susan Arica, Malou Crisologo, Gerald Madrid, Alex Medina, JV Kapunan, Binsoy Namoca, Rocky Labayen, Bobot Mortiz, Ejay Falcon, Geoff Eigenmann, Elmo Magalona, Antonio Aquitania, Dino Imperial, and Junjun Quintana.

In anticipation of the series’ upcoming premiere on April 6, 2026, the lead stars of the series will headline the live broadcast on ASAP, airing on March 29, 2026, at 11:55, on several ABS-CBN platforms.

Hosted by Robi Domingo, Belle Mariano, Darren Espanto, and Alexa Ilacad, it will feature a strong performance of Blood vs. Duty stars on the stage, including with an opening number from Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, Yeng Constantino, Belle Mariano, Darren Espanto, Maymay Entrata, Alexa Ilacad, Elha Nympha, Carmelle Collado, Kai Montinola, Esang de Torres, JM Yosures, Marko, Jason Dy, Jarlo Base, Jane de Leon, AC Bonifacio, Gela Atayde, Klarisse de Guzman, Khimo Gumatay, Jeremy Glinoga, Jarren Garcia, and Lella Ford, together with MNVRS Ignite and G-Force.

James Reid will also showcase his new single, Traffic, plus a champions showdown from Erik and Jason, Klarisse and Jona, JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano, Arvery Lagoring and Christian Tibayan, and Carmelle and Elha.

Jane de Leon, Jane Oineza, Rain Celmar, Bianca De Vera, and Kolette Madelo with G-Force will also join for the Choopeta dance craze, followed by a back-to-back with dance showdown from AC, Gela, Jameson Blake, Jeremy, and Folk Jumpers 2025 WDCC Adult Crew Division Champions with Legit Status.

ASAP will also deliver a sing-along with the young divas Alexa, Kai, Esang, and Elha as they light up the stage with their bright performance, an inspiring act from Magnus Haven as they debut their new song Gabi-gabi with KD Estrada, Jarren, and Christof, and Pinoy pop hits from the best of P-pop groups 1621, DNA, WRIVE, and Baby Dolls.

ASAP will also announce a second wave of ASAP Australia (TikTok Entertainment Centre, Sydney, Australia) appearing artists during the live broadcast.

iWant adds Cinema One Live Streaming and more exclusive content, iconic PBB house shuts its doors

For the past few months, since the rebranding of ABS-CBN’s online streaming service, iWant has delivered numerous on-air and online-exclusive series and microdramas that subscribers can enjoy, showcasing the best of the Kapamilya network and offering more online entertainment for Filipinos.

And on March 24 and 25, 2026, iWant added three new live streaming channels exclusively for subscribers, one of which is a prime movie pay TV channel, and two of them are from international news channels. These were Cinema One, Channel NewsAsia (CNA), and Euronews.

The inclusion of Cinema One titles expands the selection of Filipino movies and series available on iWant, including Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis-topbilled 45th Metro Manila Film Festival Entry Film The Mall, The Merrier, which was released on the launch day at 13:00.

Cinema One is a 24/7 pay TV channel that delivers a wide range of Filipino films and continues to feature local favorites, including The B Side, an original program presented by Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, as well as curated movie blocks, such as Blockbuster Sundays, Romance Central, and Restored Cinema.

Apart from iWant, Cinema One is also available on most Pay TV providers, including Sky Cable, Cignal, and GSat.

Additionally, iWant recently added two more live channels to the streaming platform, including Mediacorp’s 24/7 News Channel, Channel NewsAsia (CNA), and the Pan-European TV News Channel, Euronews.

For binge-watchers of iWant’s curated library of content, two new additions have been released exclusively to subscribers: a microdrama and a limited documentary series. One of which is A Mother’s Vengeance, the 7th vertical microdrama series released on iWant’s Quick Feels, headlined by Kate Alejandrino-Juan as Helen, a mother left for dead in a staged accident, and a new original limited documentary series that highlights Filipinos redefining success and raising the Philippine flag on the global stage, titled Gamechangers.

For A Mother’s Vengeance, it delivers a suspense-filled story of betrayal, survival, and a mother determined to reclaim everything that has been stolen from her. Rescued in secret and given a new identity as Serena Montinola by Doña Carmen Montinola (Gaye Piccio), she returns years later to infiltrate the powerful Regala family—the very clan that tried to erase her existence.

Inside the mansion’s walls, secrets pile up: her husband, Juanito (Andrew Gan), is imprisoned and silenced by his own brother, Carlo (Michael Vasquez); her daughter, Anne (Valerie Talion), is believed to be dead but is actually hidden away under a new name and a web of lies built to protect power at any cost.

For Gamechangers, the Metro Channel-produced 30-minute documentary series chronicles the blood, sweat, and vision of inspiring personalities whose determination and bold moves are putting the Philippines on the map and opening doors for the next generation.

Meanwhile, for over twenty years, Pinoy Big Brother has been a home for its housemates, having premiered the first season of the reality show back on August 21, 2005.

However, things have changed over time, especially when ABS-CBN ended its free-to-air operations on May 5, 2020, like online auditions via Kumu for PBB Connect (2020-2021) and PBB Kumunity Season 10 (2021-2022) amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the demolition of the other half of the PBB House in 2023 (caused by non-renewal of the property lease agreement by ABS-CBN), the growing popularity of PBB during the non-renewal of the broadcast license, through PBB Gen 11, that made a massive online viewership during the Big Night on October 26, 2024, of over 2.26 million peak concurrent viewers and the spike of continous trends involving its housemates after which, including Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith, and two PBB Collab editions that made a partnership between the franchise holder, ABS-CBN, and the collaborator, GMA Network.

And after 20 years and 7 months of providing Pinoy Big Brother within the old house that spanned 19 seasons, Big Brother has decided to move into a new home, as announced recently this afternoon on March 24, 2026, and in an interview on TV Patrol with MJ Felipe, Laurenti Dyogi, head of Star Magic, stated that earlier, the PBB team had considered the possibility of relocating from their old house in Quezon City.

However, due to the two Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Editions that premiered on GMA in 2025 alone, they decided to postpone the move and continue keeping it for these seasons. PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0 premiered on March 9, 2025, as the first Pinoy Big Brother season airing on GMA Network, naming Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca as the Big Winner Duos of that edition, on July 5, 2025.

Following the end of PBB Collab 2.0 on February 28, 2026, where Lella Ford and Caprice Cayetano were declared as the Big Winners of the final season of PBB inside the 2005 house, he added that the move out from the old house to a soon-to-be-built one, for the future PBB edition.

ABS-CBN will remain the sole license holder for Big Brother in the Philippines, based on the reality show of the same name, which originated from the Netherlands and is produced under Banijay Entertainment.
