You might have heard about Tele News before, especially when we talked about our previous fact check involving the ASAP Grand Pasasalamat that aired on several ABS-CBN platforms on February 1 and 8, 2026, regarding that it will “mark the end for ASAP, after 31 years since it aired on television”.
But somehow, days, weeks, and months after we debunked the fake news about ASAP, Tele News, collectively known as Prok Noy on social media, particularly on Facebook, continued to spread false and misleading information involving ABS-CBN, GMA, and TV5, their programming, and the respective talents of each talent agency of these networks, i.e., Star Magic, Sparkle Artist Center, and Star Worx.
But at 15:00 of yesterday, April 20, 2026, the page published another fake news article involving the upcoming ASAP XP at the Araneta Coliseum event, taking place on May 10, 2026, with two shows within the day – 12:00 and 19:00 – claimed that it would be a final goodbye for the Sunday noontime show, calling it, “Xtra Pamamaalam”.
The social media post was heavily criticized by Jeff Oli Gar TV, Certified Kapamilya, Laban Kapamilya, and many other ABS-CBN-related pages, citing that the news from the Facebook post was false and misleading. The post also received positive reactions (most of them liked or hearted the post, while some reacted with a “Haha” reaction), despite the news it contained being untrue.
It is deemed that ASAP XP will NOT serve as the end for the Sunday noontime show. They will also have an international show at the TikTok Entertainment Centre, Sydney, Australia, known as ASAP Australia, scheduled for July 25, 2026. Thus, the Facebook post from Tele News (Prok Noy) is not true.
The ASAP XP show in Araneta Coliseum, will feature a star-studded performance that ASAP delivered on-air and online, including AC Bonifacio, Alexa Ilacad, Angeline Guinto, Bamboo, Carmelle Collado, Darren Espanto, Elha Nympha, Erik Santos, Esang de Torres, Fyang Smith, Gary Valenciano, Gela Atayde, Jameson Blake, Jane de Leon, Jarren Garcia, Jason Dy, Jeremy Glinoga, JM dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, JM Ibarra, JM Yosures, Jona, Kai Montinola, KD Estrada, Khimo Gumatay, Klarisse de Guzman, Kyla, Maki (1st show only), Martin Nievera, Maymay Entrata, Mayonnaise (2nd show only), Regine Velasquez-Alcasod, Reiven Umali, Sofronio Vasquez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, P-Pop Groups BGYO, BINI (their first local appearance a month after their successful and applauded Coachella 2026 debut performance), and DNA, and many others.
Ticket buyers interested in attending ASAP XP can purchase their tickets for Shows 1 (General Admission and Upper Box are still available) and 2 (available on April 22, 2026, at 14:00) through Ticketnet Online or at the Ticketnet Box Office outlets nationwide.
Furthermore, the DRPS PHCA also investigated the other social media posts from Tele News, which are also deemed fake news, including:
- The news that Sigabo star Julia Montes announced that she was pregnant, and named it “Singko.” (At the moment, CCM Productions, Coco Martin, and Julia Montes have not announced that she is pregnant.)
- Queen of All Media Kris Aquino confirms appearance on several shows on GMA and TV5. (At the moment, GMA and TV5, as well as Kris Aquino and their relatives, have not announced that she will appear in future TV shows of the said networks.)
- TV5 will launch a Sunday noontime show that may compete against All-Out Sundays and ASAP by May 2026. (At the moment, VIBE is one of their musical variety show aired every night, except on Sundays, on TV5. In addition, VIBE Playback airs on the said channel on Sundays at 12:00.)
- The Iglesia ni Cristo-led TV Network, NET25, and Government-backed IBC-13, will soon launch new programs on their respective channels, with the latter also announcing that it will establish a talent agency. (At the moment, there is no such news from NET25 and IBC-13 about the social media posts claimed by Tele News.)
- Swara Sug Media-backed SMNI will soon return its free-to-air broadcasts. (At the moment, SMNI is currently off the air, following the cease-and-desist order against the network, for violating the 30-day suspension order, which required them to go off the air on all of its channels nationwide for the said period of time.)
