Music: WRIVE and Cianne (Sumayaw Ka); Baby Dolls (Meme); and The Red Strings (LST) (Sep. 9, 2026)

WRIVE + Cianne Dominguez + A mix of Gloc-9 = Sumayaw Ka

Following their Unang Taon Anniversary Event in July and their appearance at the Star Magic All-Star Games 2026 in SM Mall of Asia Arena on August 23, 2026, rising Polaris Star Magic P-Pop Group WRIVE teams up with It’s Showtime host and singer Cianne Dominguez to give a fresh and contemporary take on the rap-hiphop classic single, Sumayaw Ka, popularized by Gloc-9.

The new rendition of the song, under the production and arrangement of its member Russu Laurente, together with Darren Cashwell, reflects on the challenges that come with life and reminds listeners to keep moving forward and hold on to their passion. Its visualizer for the single is scheduled to be released in the coming days on the official YouTube channel of ABS-CBN Star Music and WRIVE.

WRIVE has also continued to build anticipation for the release through a dance challenge on social media, featuring several ABS-CBN stars joining in and adding a mix of their own moves to the single. The song has previously been heard by fans and audiences ahead of the release through live performances at various shows and events, including Unang Taon and Star Magic All-Star Games 2026.

WRIVE was widely known for their previously released songs, Ooh La La (not to be confused with Baby Dolls’ Oohh Lala Baby), Senorita, and Panaginip Na Lang, and had achieved more than 700,000 Spotify Streams. A few days after the release of Sumayaw Ka, it landed in the leading spot on Spotify Philippines’ P-Pop on the Rise Playlist.

One of its members, Russu Laurente, together with another P-Pop group, VVINK, previously performed an entry song in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 Philippine Selection Night held on August 30, 2026, Round N’ Round, composed by Bojam de Belen and John Michael Conchada.

Baby Dolls drops new carefree dance anthem Meme

Following the success of Oohh Lala Baby and Ikembot Mo, which achieved tens of millions of combined streams on both YouTube and Spotify, breakout seven-member girl group Baby Dolls, comprised of Arianne Dela Cruz, Chole Florendo, Eriel Reyes, Ina Ortega, Jelai Ahamil, Johaira Moris, and Juby Sabino, returns to bring the good vibes going with their recently dropped feel-good dance anthem, Meme (pronounced meh-meh), which invites listeners to let loose, have fun, and dance without a care.

Composed and produced by Christian Martinez, arranged by Albert Tamayo, and supervised by StarPop label head Roque Santos, Meme is an upbeat dance-pop track filled with infectious energy and carefree spirit, showcasing the playful personality that has helped them connect with audiences and turn their music into a source of fun and good vibes. The song was also created in collaboration with Renz Januz Bercasio for the song’s choreography.

The group was widely known for their debut EP, Zoom Baby Dolls, featuring their popular songs Oohh Lala Baby and Ikembot Mo, both of which achieved more than 14 million streams on Spotify and 23 million combined video views on YouTube. Their growing online presence continued, with the Oohh Lala Baby music video achieving more than 17 million views on YouTube.

Similarly, the song garnered more than 9.3 million online streams on Spotify and landed on several playlists, including OPM Rising, Viral Hits Philippines, and P-pop On The Rise. Ikembot Mo, on the other hand, also achieved 6.4 million views on YouTube for its music video and 3.6 million online streams on Spotify.

The girl group also made another milestone by entering the Hot 100 list from Billboard Philippines, where it was ranked 96th on the chart, further expanding their growing presence.
