ON THIS DAY, May 8, 2023 at 20h00: The Premiere of Voltes V: Legacy was broadcast on GMA, with the competency of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo

It was on May 8, 2023 when an ultramagnetic TV Series that was based from a well-known Japanese Anime has been arrived to the Philippines through GMA, #VoltesVLegacy, was premiered through GMA Telebabad (now GMA Prime), with it’s competitor, #FPJsBatangQuiapo, on ABS-CBN, has aired it’s “Bagong Yugto” Episode on that day.

Within the period of May 8 to 12, 2023, during the commercial breaks of these shows, we monitored how many TV Commercials we’ve seen during each of the four commercial gaps on GMA for V5L, and three commercial gaps on ABS-CBN for Kapamilya Channel.

During our countings on these two shows on their May 8, 2023 episodes of it, Voltes V: Legacy has aired 29 TV Ads on GMA and 73 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel. Thus, within the period of May 8 to 12, 2023, it has aired 79 TV Ads for Voltes V: Legacy (on GMA) and 345 TV Ads for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (on Kapamilya Channel).

It’s TV Ratings of Voltes V: Legacy, however, is still leading as it has been voted by has been voted by 14.6% of their viewers (Nielsen, c. GMA, GTV, I HEART MOVIES and PINOY HITS), v. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s 9.9% (c. Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5).

Voltes V: Legacy, however, ran until September 8, 2023, with 13.8% TV ratings has been voted for (with 56 TV Ads has aired during it), compared to FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s 12.3% (and 66 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel and 61 TV Ads on A2Z/TV5).
