In a recent company statement for ABS-CBN Corporation (PSE: ABS) as disclosed by the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), it announced that the well-beloved Kapamilya Shows, including FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, ASAP, and many others, will be broadcast on ALLTV2, owned and operated by Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), Inc., beginning January 2, 2026.

This announcement has led to the conclusion that TV5 Network, Inc. will terminate its Content Agreement between the channel and the network, which will take effect beginning January 2, 2026, while ABS-CBN has also formally tendered payments to TV5 and MediaQuest Holdings in settlement of its obligations pursuant to each party’s respective agreements. The company will coordinate the orderly transition and proper winding down of the parties’ engagement. The Kapamilya network has also signed today a licensing agreement with AMBS, the owner and operator of ALLTV2 network, allowing them to air programs from Kapamilya Channel from January 2, 2026.

Thus, on January 1, 2026, this will be the final day of airing ABS-CBN Shows on TV5, after 1,803 days (4 years, 11 months, 1 week, and 1 day) of airing Kapamilya shows on the Kapatid network (since January 24, 2021), and on the following day, you will be able to watch FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, and ASAP, on ALLTV2, in full high definition, along with the other shows also seen on that channel – It’s Showtime, TV Patrol, Rainbow Rumble, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Rated Korina, and many more to come. It is also available for airing or streaming via Kapamilya Channel (on pay TV providers), A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWant, including GMA for It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.

Back on April 23, 2024, AMBS and ABS-CBN announced their partnership to deliver the past Kapamilya shows on ALLTV, including ABS-CBN News’ flagship primetime news program, TV Patrol, which started on May 13, 2024, under the “Jeepney TV sa ALLTV” brand. Its programming was then later expanded to It’s Showtime on June 17, 2024, and almost a year later, when Maalaala Mo Kaya made a return on-air, the channel also aired the said anthology drama, followed by Rainbow Rumble months after.

The ALLTV2 channel broadcasts on Analog RF Channel 2 and Digital RF Channel 16 DT 2.1 in Mega Manila, both of which are the former frequencies used by ABS-CBN before the Philippines’ National Telecommunications Commission shut it down on May 5, 2020, following the franchise expiration. Citing that ALLTV2’s digital signal was broadcast in Full High Definition, when the ABS-CBN shows, like FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, ASAP, and many more, will air on that channel from January 2, 2026, it will provide a clearer viewing than being seen in Standard Definition.
