PH TV Update: GMA Network retains multi-platform dominance, reports higher revenues in 2025

The year 2025 was a milestone year as the network marked its 75th Anniversary, celebrating decades of service to millions of Filipinos across generations while braving challenges and change. – Gilberto Duavit Jr., GMA Network President and CEO

In a recently held Annual Stockholders’ Meeting of GMA Network (PSE: GMA7), one of the country’s leading media entities in television, radio, and digital media, reported higher revenues and earnings for 2025 by 3% in consolidated net revenues. The media network also contained a 5% increase in operating expenses and a 6.39% increase in consolidated net income to PHP 2.197 billion.

GMA Network owns and operates its broadcast television and radio properties, including GMA-7, GTV, Heart of Asia, I Heart Movies, GMA Regional TV, Super Radyo DZBB 594 KHz, Barangay LS 97.1 MHz, and GMA Radio Network. The broadcaster continued to maintain its position as the country’s leading broadcast television network, according to data from the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) and the Philippine National Television Audience Measurement (PHINTAM), both of which are led by Nielsen Philippines.

Among the top 30 television programs in NUTAM and PHINTAM are Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, which remained as the country’s most-watched show on Philippine television, and 26 other shows, which are also broadcast on GMA (27 of the 30 are from GMA, the other three are from its competitor, ABS-CBN).

In recent news, a special report on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho involving corruption became a nominee for the 2026 ContentAsia Awards. Also nominated in the said award-giving body is a documentary special led by Dingdong Dantes, titled Broken Roads, Broken Promises.

Apart from television, its radio stations in Mega Manila, Super Radyo DZBB and Barangay LS Manila, retain their dominant lead in Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement ratings.

According to Nielsen RAM data for June 2026, DZBB-AM recorded an audience share of 48.3%, compared to DZMM-AM’s 19.1% and DZRH-AM’s 16.1%. Similarly, Barangay LS retains its lead in Mega Manila FM Radio ratings in June 2026 at 51.0%, surpassing its closest competitors, DZMB-FM (Love Radio Manila) at 16.9% and DWNU-FM (Wish 107.5 Manila) at 9.0%.

In terms of digital media, GMA Network retains its lead among media and entertainment companies in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia for the entire 2025, according to data from Tubular Labs, based on aggregate video views across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

As of May 2026, GMA Network was ranked 17th in the Tubular Labs Leadership Worldwide Rankings, where its digital media properties surpassed 7.9 billion video views (3.7 billion on Facebook; 1.1 billion on Instagram; 2.3 billion on TikTok; and 747.7 million on YouTube). With the continued support and strong presence of GMANetwork.com, GMA News Online, and their social media platforms, GMA Network made a 13% increase in online digital advertising revenues.

GMA News, formerly known as GMA Integrated News, however, also secured a third spot worldwide and emerged as the country’s leading news publisher in News and Politics, according to the same Tubular Labs data, for April 2026. The news division’s digital platforms generated a total of 3.6 billion views online (2.9 billion on Instagram; 569 million on Facebook; and 119 million on YouTube).

Its film production entity, GMA Pictures, will likewise continue to strengthen its activities in producing films, following the success of film releases across cinemas, film festivals, and streaming platforms. GMA Pictures will soon release an epic drama in 2026. The production entity also signed a three-year output deal agreement with a global streaming company, set to launch this year.

Towards this end, we will continue to evolve, innovate, and strengthen our presence across every platform—driven by our commitment to excellence and our aspiration to better serve our audiences and stakeholders, Duavit concluded the stockholders’ meeting.
