READ: Recent developments involving It’s Showtime, involving the continued airing on GMA and the allegations involving “lending”

We have heard and seen the news involving It’s Showtime, one of the highly anticipated noontime shows of ABS-CBN, regarding the continued airing on GMA this 2025, as stated in the “Shine Kapamilya” Christmas Special 2024, and the “lending” issue that this claim has been denied.

In the 2025 Offerings Video for ABS-CBN Studios, as stated during the Shine Kapamilya 2024 Christmas Special aired yesterday, that It’s Showtime will continue to be broadcast on GMA Network’s two channels – GMA and GTV, as well as online through Kapuso Stream this 2025.

That means, the rumors that it will no longer be seen on that channel are not true at all. Aside from GMA and GTV, it can also be seen through Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and ALLTV from Mondays to Saturdays at 12h00.

The said show, as what the offerings video has said, that their own musical talent competition segment, Tawag Ng Tanghalan, will hold a “Ang Huling Tapatan, The School Showdown” as well this 2025. Aihna Imperial, Hargie Ganza, Mary Khem Cabagte, Christian Pasana, Nayela Nocquiao, Aaron Regala, Den Khayelle Quiatchon, Thor Valiente, Christian Tibayan, Lance Ocoma, Adie Hamja, Patricia Sofia Capon, Arvery Lagoring, John Ramirez, and Isay Olarte will be competing for the said segment’s grand finals, according to the said offering.

Delving to the issues of “lending”, the claim is deemingly not true, according to GMA Network Executive, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes. Atty. Annette stated that they are waiting for the data while this is taking longer than usual, at least about 95% to this date. Only a short discussion has been made while there are no problems have found in here.

Their priority right now is to renew the Kapamilya Network’s noontime show, since the TV Ratings have proved to lead compared to it’s competitor, Eat Bulaga!, on TV5 Network, and ABS-CBN DID NOT HAVE ANY FORM OF LOANS TO GMA. Thus, as their contract with GMA is about to end this year, a contract renewal signing between the two is about to happen in the coming weeks.
