Voltes V: Legacy and FPJ’s Batang Quiapo: The Commercials from May 8 to 12, 2023

How it performed on the first week of the Robot’s premiere and The new chapter of Tanggol on Philippine TV? Well, you know. On the first day of premiering Voltes V: Legacy on GMA Network’s own channels (GMA, GTV, I HEART MOVIES and PINOY HITS), you will see that there are 29 TV Commercials during the show – but the competitor’s FPJ’s Batang Quiapo that has been aired on ABS-CBN’s Channels – Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, and Cinemo! has been seen by 73 TV Ads. This has been based upon our monitoring of all of the commercial break gaps during these shows.
Despite Voltes V: Legacy has been seen by a few of advertisers vs. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, the ratings game has just begun. The premiere night of Voltes V: Legacy got a 14.6% on Nielsen NUTAM’s Ratings (combined ratings of all of the GMA’s DTV Channels), vs. 10.6% from the competitor (combined ratings of all of the ABS-CBN Channels and affiliates, with 9.9% if Cinemo! is not in their calculation). How about the ratings from the other audience measuring company, aside from Nielsen?
But for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, it has been seen by 278,281 of Kapamilyas through Kapamilya Online Live YouTube vs. 38,407 Kapusos through Kapuso Stream watching Voltes V: Legacy, with Kantar said that its Audience Share was 19.03% vs. Voltes V: Legacy’s 17.96%! This is why FPJ’s Batang Quiapo has shown more advertisers compared to Voltes V: Legacy.
The DRPS PHCA Delivered on how the advertisers performed well during both the Robot’s Premiere and the Bagong Simula Week. Thus, on a May 9, 2023 episode of these shows, we measured it, but the numbers worsened for Voltes V: Legacy. Compared to the first episode on GMA, we could see that on the second episode of that series has been seen by 14 Advertisers, then on the suceeding episodes, it got 9 TV Ads on the third one, and on the fourth one it gained two more than the last one.

For FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, we should also know that there are more TV Commercials across all of the three commercial gaps that ABS-CBN has made. You see that there are 69 TV Ads on the May 9 and 10 episodes of the Teleserye of Coco Martin a.k.a. Tanggol, while on a May 11, 2023 episode of it, there are 63 TV Ads.

Finally on these series’ May 12, 2023 episodes, we’ve measure it again be some hurdles around against our Facebook and Twitter pages. ​It turned out that there are 16 TV Ads on GMA and 71 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel on these respective programs, totalling the final count within the week of May 8 to 12, 2023 – 79 TV Ads for Voltes V: Legacy on GMA, and 345 TV Ads for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo on Kapamilya Channel!

Despite its number of advertisers of Voltes V: Legacy are lower than FPJ’s Batang Quiapo during the premiere week, the Nielsen NUTAM Ratings are on a higher rate than the other.
