This order was announced through a Senate hearing, that deliberates a measure to strictly regulate or to ban online gambling services in the Philippines, wherein they are shown easily through e-wallet services, even they are at least 21 years old to use and consume these services (the minimum age required by law to play gambling services, whether this is for an online or on-site).
Furthermore, GCash and Maya, one of the country’s leading e-wallet services, where the “Games” option was shown in each of the apps, are committed to comply with the governing order to take all of the gambling-related links down from their apps, with BingoPlus, PlayTime, and other online gambling providers had announced that it will no longer be accessible from these apps beginning August 16, 2025 (while gamblers can still play through their mobile apps or the official website of the online gambling site).
Remember: Gambling, whether it is an online or on-site service, is intended for 21 years of age and beyond only. Gambling can be addictive – KNOW WHEN TO STOP. Game responsibly and keep it fun. Learn more at PAGCOR’s Responsible Gaming website.
