Kapamilya stars Xyriel Manabat, Karina Bautista, Kaori Oinuma, and Elyson de Dios will deliver their scares shed in a haunting light on Manila’s true-to-life frightening encounters, as iWant, in collaboration with CreaZion Studios, will deliver a two-episode anthology original series, True Manila Encounters, on October 29, 2026, and on November 5, 2026.
The newest horror offering created by the award-winning production entity dramatizes chilling real-life encounters with the supernatural, combined with stories carefully selected from multiple submissions gathered within the Metro Manila area. Among them were Undressed (by Rae Red) and Occupant (Dodo Dayao).
In Undressed, headlined by Xyriel and Karina, they face a vengeful spirit bound to a piece of thrifted clothing. The story follows Pearl (Karina Bautista), a woman who suppresses her third eye to hide from the paranormal.
However, Pearl is forced to confront her deepest fears when her co-worker, Mei-Mei (Xyriel Manabat), buys an innocent-looking ukay-ukay (an outdoor secondhand clothing flea market store) dress but is unaware of its gruesome past and the restless entity waiting to unleash terror on anyone who touches it.
Xyriel and Karina were both ex-housemates from Pinoy Big Brother, but from two different seasons – Otso for Karina, known for the 2025 iWant original film The Last Resort, and Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0 for Xyriel, known for the 2026 ABS-CBN-GMA collaboration primetime drama series The Secrets of Hotel 88.
As for Rae Red, who is the director behind the Undressed episode, is also created some of the critically acclaimed films, including Birdshot, Si Chedeng At Si Apple, and Eerie.
On November 5, 2026, the second of the two-episode horror anthology series will topbill with Kaori Oinuma and Elyson de Dios for the Dodo Dayao-directed episode, Occupant. It is a true-to-life story created by the makers of his works, Uninvited, Midnight in a Perfect World, and Violator, about a strained long-distance relationship that takes a sinister turn.
The hauntings begin during a video conference call between Ana (Kaori Oinuma) and her workaholic boyfriend Jam (Eluson de Dios). As a disturbing entity relentlessly torments Ana, pushing her to the brink of losing her grip on reality, Jam must race against time to save both her sanity and their relationship.
These two episodes of True Manila Encounters are scheduled to be released on October 29, 2026, with the Undressed episode, followed by the Occupant episode on the following Thursday, November 5, 2026, exclusively to iWant subscribers.
