Maki teams up with James Reid for newest single, Luck

For the first time, ABS-CBN Music-Tarsier Records OPM singer-songwriter Maki teams up with Someone Someday lead actor James Reid for their newest single titled Luck, which features its official music video, both of which are available for streaming on all music streaming platforms and on the official YouTube channel of the record label, respectively.
As part of his continuation of “Pink Era”, it blends alternative and indie-pop influences; the single compares falling in love to placing a bet, where there are no guarantees but only the hope that taking the risk will be worth it. The track was co-written with top international songwriters and producers, including Gaby Ramirez, Pontus Kalm, Greg Shilling, and Shintaro Yasuda, whose credits include collaborations with global acts such as Ariana Grande, BTS, Le Sserafim, Aespa, and BINI.
Before the release of his collaborative single, Maki started his Pink Era with his previous single, Habangbuhay Pansamantala, alongside international appearances in Indonesia and Singapore for the Kolorcoaster Asia Tour, featuring crowd favorites from his EP, including Dilaw, Namumula, and Kahel na Langit. Maki also appeared in an Indonesian television show broadcast on Trans7 (pronounced “Trans Tujuh”) titled Lapor Pak, which introduced his humor and personality to a wider global audience, including in Indonesia.
James, on the other hand, apart from starring in a recently premiered Kapamilya primetime series co-led by Kathryn Bernardo – Someone Someday, also released his single titled Richest Man Alive, following his push to push the boundaries of his music through a signature blend of alternative pop, R&B, and modern OPM.

Jazper Tiongson drops debut EP Mga Kabanata

This album is the most honest I’ve ever been. I’ve spent years living these stories before finally writing and recording them. Every track represents a different season of my life, and I hope listeners find pieces of their own journey in them. – Jazper Tiongson
Host, content creator, and ABS-CBN Star Music Singer-Songwriter Jazper Tiongson begins his journey into music as he reflects on the different chapters of love, self-discovery, and new beginnings through his debut extended play album, Mga Kabanata.
Featuring its key track Binabaliw, it is a soaring pop anthem that captures the intoxicating feeling of being completely consumed by love. Also featured in the six-track EP are Tunay Na Ikaw, Patinig-Ibig, Deck, Anamat, and Bahaghari, all of which he wrote and Adonis Tabanda produced.
Before pursuing his entertainment career, he worked in the corporate advertising industry, followed by a different direction after a hosting opportunity led by himself to meet with the Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, which he shared, I always had that aching for my passion, which is hosting and music, but I never had the confidence to do it.
Back then, I was hosting a show where I met Pia Wurtzbach, and at that time I was looking for a sign if I should do this full time. After the show, I got a message from her asking if I was open to being one of the hosts of Miss Universe Philippines, he added.
In addition to his hosting, singing, and content creation career, he released his uplifting debut single, Hello Universe, back in 2025.
Plume drops new single Ikot under GMA Music’s AltG Records
The inspiration was a conversation between my girlfriend and me: If you were to disappear the next day, how would you tell the other person? – Plume
GMA Music-AltG Records singer-songwriter Plume, based in Baguio City, explores that lingering question in his newest single titled Ikot, which delves into the tender space between time loops and bittersweet farewells, and sometimes it’s fate and not fault that draws the final line in relationships.
The raw question he shared evolved into a track which refuses to place blame, choosing instead to focus on the acceptance that sometimes relationships run their course. Plume also explained that a breakup sometimes isn’t really because of someone’s fault, but it can just be fate that they were not meant for each other anymore.
The track captured the dizzying feeling of reminiscing, with their mind turning, playing happy and painful memories like they’re on a permanent play, as the title implied.
Ikot is now available for streaming on all music streaming platforms, as of July 31, 2026.
