On This Day in PBB Gen 11: The trending but controversial Rap Battle of Jas and Fyang (September 14, 2024)

It’s been a year ago that the September 14, 2024 episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11 was happened (as a live eviction night), and as we told earlier, Dylan Yturralde gets out from the Big Brother house at the near end of the episode. But before that, did you know that this live eviction broadcast was also the time when we have also seen the Rap Battle between the two housemates – one from adult and one from teens, which is part of the Adults vs. Teens happenings within the house.

From Rain Celmar vs. Kolette Madelo, to JM Ibarra vs. JP Cabrera, to Dylan Yturralde vs. Kai Montinola, and to Jarren Garcia vs. Binsoy Namoca, the tension is heating up when the rap battle part between Jas Dudley-Scales and Fyang Smith was seen on our viewers, especially when you hear this heavily controversial portion of their battle:

Jas: Aba Fyang, Sino ba ang may manliligaw sa ating dalawa, na naghihintay sa labas, pero ikaw, one, two, three, kinakapitan. Sila na ngayon lumalayo sa iyo di ba, pero bakit mo pinipilit ang sarili mo?
Fyang: You disrespect him. You will never gain my respect. Hindi ko nga alam ba’t kita tinatawag na ate, hindi nga kita ka-ano-ano, hindi ka namang kalayo sa respeto. Alam mo sa ginagawa mo, hindi nga dapat Jas ang pangalan mo. Alam mo dapat pangalan mo – Attention seeker. 

In the online world, during and after the broadcast, netizens reacted about their rap battle of Jas and Fyang, positively and negatively, and following to the said controversial reactions about their portion, Pinoy Big Brother made an official statement to warn the online community against spreading negative, malicious, hurtful or dematory comments, and serious threats against not only Jas and Fyang, but also the current and former housemates of PBB Gen 11, and the management made a legal action against these perpetrators.

As a result of these controversies around PBB Gen 11, the votings for the 8th Nomination Round will only accept Votes To Save, removing the option to Evict a housemate, and letting viewers to vote to save a housemate with Maya.
