As you may probably know, on the yesterday’s episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition (from May 25, 2025) named the following ten (10) nominated individual housemates for this week, in which one Kapuso housemate out of the five will get evicted this coming June 1, 2025, the other one will be for Kapamilya housemates, also of the five.

These ten total housemates, like Sparkle’s Charlie Fleming, Dustin Yu, Mika Salamanca, Vince Maristela, and Will Ashley, and Star Magic’s Bianca de Vera, Brent Manalo, Klarisse de Guzman, River Joseph, and Xyriel Manabat, are nominated automatically as they have lost any of the two Big Intensity Challenges that Big Brother had made to them.

WHAT IS “BIG INTENSITY CHALLENGE”?

As per the mechanics provided by Pinoy Big Brother’s official social media accounts, these BIC Tasks are consist of two tasks, in which of the housemates should be part of the Final Duo.

Each challenge will take fight of the Kapuso Housemates with each other, the same goes will also be done for the Kapamilya Housemates. If they won, the winning Kapamilya Housemate and the winning Kapuso Housemate will receive a Final Duo Medal, and will be safe from being nominated. As based on the May 25, 2025 episode, Kapuso housemates, like Shuvee Entrata and AZ Martinez, and Kapamilya housemates, like Ralph de Leon and Esnyr Ranollo, they have won each of the two respective Big Intensity Challenges, the others didn’t win any of these two, shall be nominated this week.

WHAT ARE THE HOUSEMATES HAD MADE ON EACH OF THE BIG INTENSITY CHALLENGES, AND WHAT ABOUT THE RESULTS OF IT?

The 1st BICT is to answer all of the six questions in Filipino (straight, not skipped) by flipping the right answer’s first letter to the top of the wooden block of it, and the faster they finish, the housemate will receive a medal. Otherwise, the non-winning housemates will proceed to the 2nd BIC Task. In the end, Shuvee and Ralph wins the challenge, because they’ve made the fastest among all of the Kapuso and Kapamilya Housemates – Shuvee made it for 6 minutes and 5 seconds, while Ralph did it in just 4 minutes and 43 seconds.

For Kapuso Housemates, Will Ashley made it in just eleven (11) minutes, while Dustin Yu did this in 14 minutes and 20 seconds, Mika Salamanca made it in 20 minutes and 46 seconds, and Vince Maristela made this in almost half an hour (29 minutes and 40 seconds). Charlie Fleming and AZ Martinez, however, did not finish this 1st BIC Task entirely, and these Kapuso housemates mentioned here will not receive a medal for being part of the Final Duo, but they can have an another, final chance, through the 2nd Big Intensity Challenge Task.

For Kapamilya Housemates, Xyriel Manabat answered all of the six questions entirely in just 6 minutes and 9 seconds, while Brent Manalo also made the challenge completely three seconds longer than Xyriel’s (6 minutes and 12 seconds), and Klarisse did this task also, but 19 seconds longer than Brent’s (6 minutes and 31 seconds), including Esnyr Ranollo, who’ve made this in just 8 minutes and 48 seconds. Bianca de Vera and River Joseph however, did not complete it entirely, and likewise, they will not have a medal to take part of the Final Duo, but they will be given an another chance with the 2nd BIC Task.

The 2nd BIC Task is to roll the ball to the number landing to a specific number of 1 to 3 to add more balloons from the ten (10) initial ones thrice, and then the housemate will also roll to the specific number of baloons to be popped from 1 to 3, and based on the number landed in here, they have to pop the other housemates’ balloons, one at a time (i.e. if a Housemate A had landed to three balloons to pop, one baloon will be popped to Housemate B, the other is for the Housemate C, and the last one for the Housemate D).

For the Kapuso Housemates, AZ Martinez will have 16 baloons, while Charlie Fleming and Vince Maristela had 15 balloons, Will Ashley had 14 balloons, and Dustin Yu had 13 baloons. Mika Salamanca, who had failed any of the three rounds of rolling for additional balloons, will only have 10 balloons. But in the very end of the 2nd BIC Task, Charlie and AZ are the remaining housemates, and therefore AZ will be the one to pop the last balloon of Charlie, meaning that AZ will receive a medal for taking part of the final duo, while Charlie will be automatically nominated, along with the other Kapuso Housemates who had no balloons left prior.

For the Kapamilya Housemates, River Joseph and Klarisse de Guzman will have 16 balloons each of them, while Brent Manalo and Esnyr Ranollo had 12 balloons each of them, and Xyriel Manabat and Bianca de Vera had 11 balloons each of them. In the very end, Esnyr and Klarisse are the last two housemates who both had one balloon left at the time, and Esnyr had popped the last balloon of Klarisse, resulting for her to become nominated this week, alongside the rest of the non-winning Kapamilya housemates, while Esnyr will also receive a Final Duo medal as well.

WHY THERE ARE TEN (10) PBB COLLAB HOUSEMATES WHO HAVE BEEN NOMINATED THIS WEEK? CAN YOU ALSO COMPARE IT WITH PBB GEN 11’S 4TH NOMINATION NIGHT PART?

That’s because these ten (10) housemates of PBB Celebrity Collab Edition had failed any of these two Big Intensity Challenges, meaning that they will not receive a medal (as they were received to Shuvee and Ralph for the 1st BICT, and AZ and Esnyr for the 2nd BICT for doing it faster and successfully), and will also lead to being nominated this week, and viewers of PBB Collab will have the power to vote on the Maya app, and likewise from what it was from the Wildcard votings, they can vote the nominated Kapuso and/or Kapamilya housemate of their choice individually.

As we said earlier, it is what it was to the Wildcard votings on the Maya app for PBB Collab, because the viewers can now have the power to vote for a favorite housemate to let them bring back individually, (resulting to the return of Charlie and Ralph inside the house for garnering the highest number of BBS Votes, but later, Charlie gets nominated from BICT failures, while Ralph gets safe from winning in the 1st BICT).

As of May 26, 2025 at 17h00, for Sparkle Artist-housemates, “Kapuso Housemate E” had a BBS Vote of 36.67%, while “Kapuso Housemate B” got 22.48%, “Kapuso Housemate A” got 18.47%, and “Kapuso Housemate D” got 16.01%. The “Kapuso Housemate C”, in which it had a BBS Vote of 6.37%, will likely be evicted this June 1, 2025’s 5th Eviction Night.

As for Star Magic Artist-housemates, “Kapamilya Housemate G” got a BBS Vote of 37.93%, while “Kapamilya Housemate J” got 23.77%, “Kapamilya Housemate I” got 18.29%, and “Kapamilya Housemate H” got 13.09%. The “Kapamilya Housemate F” will soon to be evicted this June 1, 2025, as they received the lowest BBS vote of 6.92%.

While this week’s eviction votings for PBB Collab are ten nominated housemates, and because we want to compare the number of housemates being nominated during the previous edition of Pinoy Big Brother, which is Gen 11, then the answer was taken from the 4th Nomination Night of that previous edition. If PBB Collab’s 5th Nomination Night involves the Big Intensity Challenges, then PBB Gen 11’s 4th Nomination Night involves the violations that the housemates had made.

As based on the tally of violations of PBB Gen 11 for the 4th Nomination Night, there are six (6) housemates who were automatically nominated – Fyang Smith and Rain Celmar got 16 violation points each, while Kai Montinola and Kolette Madelo got 14 violation points each, as well as Dingdong Bahan and Patrick Ramirez, the duo housemates of DongPat, got 13 violation points, and Dylan Yturralde got 11 violation points. Others, like JM Ibarra, got 10 points, Binsoy Namoca got 9 points, Jarren Garcia got 6 points, Jan Silva got 5 points, Jas Dudley-Scales got 4 points, Joli Alferez (prior to the time when she was now a part of the JoliGwen duo, with Gwen Montano), got 2 points, and JP Cabrera, only got 1 point.
If you think that the number of housemates who have been nominated from the 4th Nomination Night of PBB Gen 11 are probably “the same” or even “equivalent” to the 2nd Nomination one, in which the nominees of that particular part are Marc Nanninga with 9 Nomination Points, Kolette with 7 points, Dylan with 4 points, Kanata Tapia with 4 points, and DongPat with 4 points, then you were wrong – because the number of housemates (without any duos) are being nominated in the PBB Gen 11’s 4th Nomination Night are 7 (5 individual, and 1 duo pair, two each), while the 2nd Nomination one are 6 (4 individual, and 1 duo pair). Thus, the most number of nominated housemates in PBB Gen 11 was 6 housemates from the 4th Nomination Night.

This is based on the number of housemates who have entered inside individually in PBB Gen 11, which are 20 – 16 of them are individual, and 2 duo pairs (DongPat and JoliGwen), again, 2 persons are in one duo housemate, which is equivalent to 4 of them. PBB Collab however, had the same number of housemates as what it was from Gen 11’s, but because of the Duo Twist was implied, wherein each duo consists of one Kapuso Housemate and one Kapamilya Housemate, it had 10 duo pairs, prior to the Big Intensity Challenge. During the last four eviction nights of PBB Collab prior to the wildcard votings, ACLey (AC Bonifacio and Ashley Ortega), ChaKira (Charlie Fleming and Kira Balinger), MiLi (Michael Sager and Emilio Daez), and JoRa (Josh Ford and Ralph de Leon) have been evicted from the Big Brother House.

Thus, the 5th Nomination Night of PBB Collab had the most number of housemates being nominated than PBB Gen 11’s 4th Nomination Night.

CONCLUSION

To conclude this DRPS PHCA Explainer involving the recent events of PBB Collab, Shuvee Entrata and Ralph de Leon had won the first Big Intensity Challenge that each of the Kapuso and Kapamilya Housemates will face who will be part of the final duo, while AZ Martinez and Esnyr Ranollo won the 2nd BIC Task.
