The long wait is finally over for fans of JMFyang as Regal Entertainment announced the final title for the upcoming movie starring Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 alum JM Ibarra and Big Winner Fyang Smith, both of whom are known for their recent film appearance in a 51st Metro Manila Film Festival entry film Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins (2025 Segment), one of the second highest grossing film among the eight entry films of the said edition of the film festival, and the most talked-about online series on iWant last year, Ghosting.
With this, Regal Entertainment, in collaboration with Project 8 Projects, the award-winning production company led by Dan Villegas and Tonette Jadone, announced the final movie title for their upcoming romantic film of 2026. They call it Almost Us. It was previously titled as IRL, following an announcement from the Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins premiere night last year, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Dan Villegas.
The film is scheduled to release in cinemas nationwide on May 6, 2026. To date, Regal Entertainment announced the official title for JMFyang’s upcoming film, while the complete cast of Almost Us will soon be revealed. Apart from their recent film appearance in Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins, playing JM as James and Fyang as DJ Elle in the 2025 segment – one of the most talked-about episodes of the 51st MMFF entry film on social media (among which are 1775 and 2050), and stood its cinematic reach when this was released on December 25, 2025, the love team pairing was known for their iWant digital series Ghosting, which premiered exclusively on July 19, 2025, a day ahead of the first anniversary of the PBB Gen 11 premiere day.
The online series became a massive hit a week ahead of its premiere, garnering over thirty million views across social media platforms and YouTube from its teasers and official trailer, while maintaining its place among the streaming platform’s Top 10 shows. Additionally, JM was previously seen in a Cinemalaya 2025 entry film, Child No. 82: Anak ni Boy Kana, while Fyang released her debut EP, Forever Fyang. During their stay inside the PBB House in the third quarter of 2024, JM Ibarra was dubbed the Poginsyanong Pilo-To-Be of Quezon, while Fyang Smith was known as the Anakabogerang Influencer of Mandaluyong.
In terms of Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11, the film Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins also stars its ex-housemate, Dylan Yturralde, as Marco, also from the 2025 segment. Apart from JM, Fyang, and Dylan, the 2025 segment of the film also stars Star Magic artists Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Karina Bautista, and Kaila Estrada, as well as Sparkle artist Althea Ablan, singer-songwriter behind Mahiyain (which starred PBB Gen 11 alum Kanata Tapia from its music video released last year), Arkin Lagman, Sassa Gurl, Alex Calleja, and Manilyn Reynes.
The online series Ghosting also featured PBB Gen 11 alums Joli Alferez and JP Cabrera, as well as What Lies Beneath guest actor Jan Silva (from Episode 78 of WLB), as guests for the second part of the series titled Deja-BOO!, which premiered on November 1, 2025.
