DRPS PHCA Free Newsletter (1/31 to 2/6): Eliza re-evicts from the PBB House, Sofia, also evicted

Four weeks ahead of the Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, the 6th Eviction Night saw the re-eviction of Eliza Borromeo, who previously re-entered through a wildcard public voting and a wildcard challenge against co-wildcard Kapamilya housemate Rave Victoria. This is also the time when Sofia Pablo has been evicted from the Big Brother house.

Both of these housemates received the lowest percentage of votes to save, citing that they, along with the other four housemates from the nominated group, were collectively known as Team Solid Six. The group comprises the following housemates, along with the latest evictees: Caprice Cayetano, Heath Jornales, Joaquin Arce, and Carmelle Collado, all of whom have been safe from eviction.

Earlier, before the eviction, the Pinoy Big Brother house was transformed into a Bistro as part of their 14th weekly task called PBB Bistro. In the first few days of their preparations, the housemates talked with each other with Chef Jorge Mendez, Caprice Cayetano’s father. A series of taste tests was conducted by Big Brother as part of their weekly task, featuring Carmelle’s cousin, Eliza’s sister, and Sofia’s father.

The following day, the soft opening of their restaurant took place with the arrival of houseguest Angel Guardian for their preparations, and Heath’s mother and Joaquin’s father as the customers for the soft opening day.

On January 29 and 30, 2026, following reservations for PBB Bistro dine-in made via Pinoy Big Brother’s email account (under ABS-CBN’s domain name), with their phone number provided, and paying PHP 10,000.00 for this and their contributions to the Big Charity Mission, the restaurant was opened.

There will be forty-four people who will enter the house to serve the restaurant’s meals on their first day. The first batch will have two tables for two persons each (a total of 4), the second batch will have three tables for four persons each (a total of 12), and the third batch will have seven tables for four persons each (a total of 28).

To win this task, as announced by Big Brother to the weekly task leaders, Sofia and Caprice, the average score from the customers must be at least 8 points. The customers will rate from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) based on their overall dining experience, the taste of their food, and the service given by the housemates. The final results about the 14th weekly task will be announced by tomorrow.

Furthermore, for the results of the 6th Eviction Night (as shown below), Eliza Borromeo received 20.97% of the votes, while Sofia Pablo received 8.46%, leading to their eviction from the Big Brother house.

Kapamilya Housemates

  • Eliza Borromeo: 20.97%
  • Carmelle Collado: 33.33%
  • Joaquin Arce: 45.70%

Kapuso Housemates

  • Caprice Cayetano: 51.62%
  • Heath Jornales: 39.92%
  • Sofia Pablo: 8.46%

The Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 is scheduled to take place on February 28, 2026.

Highlights for this week

Roja hits 620,186 online views on January 27, 2026, ASAP’s All2gether Kapamilya airs this Sunday

A new era hits with a new chapter for ABS-CBN Studios-Dreamscape Entertainment’s hit action primetime series Roja, headlined by Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri, as seen on Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV2, Pay TV, iWant, Netflix, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.

And because of the explosive bagong yugto (transl. new era) trailer that gives viewers a glimpse of life-threatening challenges that Liam (Donny) and Olsen (Kyle) will have to overcome, especially since the hostage-takers added reinforcements and are now holding the victims captive at a hospital, the episode aired yesterday (January 27, 2026) set a new record in Peak Concurrent Viewers.

According to data from the most-subscribed YouTube Channel in the Philippines and Southeast Asia (with over 54.5 million subscribers as of January 28, 2026), the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel, which is behind its live streaming service, Kapamilya Online Live, set Roja’s peak concurrent viewership record at 620,186. With a new era of Roja begins, Christian Vasquez, Iana Bernardez, Jeremiah Lisbo, Joel Molina, Mac Manicad, Miggy Campbell, and Paolo Serrano join the roster of cast members.

Roja premiered on television on November 24, 2025 (initially via Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5), three days after its Netflix premiere and two days after its iWant advanced premiere. For the new era that has set new heights for Kapamilya viewers, it may have just dropped another bombshell revelation after Greta (Lorna Tolentino), Liam’s mom, pieced together clues and is convinced that Liam and Olsen are actually brothers. Greta jumped to the conclusion after learning of her husband, Magnus’ (Raymond Bagatsing), affair with her best friend, Wendy (Janice De Belen).

Liam, Olsen, and Luna’s (Maymay Entrata) seemingly peaceful lives will turn chaotic once more as the hostage-takers set up a new game plan and challenge the police force by attacking the hospital where the victims of La Playa Roja are currently staying.

The leader of the hostage-takers, Emil (Joel Torre), along with his allies, is in full force to take their revenge on the Rojas, and they will do everything in their power to bring back the lost ransom money that they took from the hostages.

Roja airs on weekdays at 20:45 (Philippine Standard Time/UTC+8) after FPJ’s Batang Quiapo on Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, Cable, iWant, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and Netflix, as well as on TFC via Pay TV Provider and via IPTV. 101.9 FM is still off air in Mega Manila

A social media post from the Ka-Bida Channel Facebook page claimed that 101.9 MHz on the FM Band in Metro and Mega Manila returned to the air as K5 News FM Manila. ABS-CBN Corporation previously used the radio frequency of 101.9 MHz to air MOR 101.9 For Life in that area (under the callsign of DWRR-FM) until its shutdown on May 5, 2020, following the parent broadcaster’s forced shutdown due to the expiration of its franchise.

As of January 2026, 101.9 MHz on the FM Band in Metro and Mega Manila has been off the air since the government shut down all TV and radio operations of ABS-CBN on May 5, 2020, following the issuance of a Case and Desist Order against the broadcaster by the National Telecommunications Commission of the Philippines. That means the Facebook post about 101.9 FM is back on the air in Metro and Mega Manila, as K5 News FM Manila is False and Misleading.

It is also worth mentioning that 5K Broadcasting Network, which operates its FM radio stations under the K5 News FM brand, did not operate the 101.9 FM in Metro and Mega Manila. At the moment, the K5 News FM is broadcasting in the following key areas of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao: Santiago (Isabela), Olongapo (Zambales), Masbate, Palawan, Bacolod, Iloilo, Roxas, Kalibo (Aklan), San Jose de Buenavista (Antique), Dumaguete (Negros Island), Tacloban, and Cagayan de Oro, and are also broadcasting in some provinces throughout the Philippines. Other broadcasters own the stations through an airtime lease agreement, while 5K Broadcasting Network manages these stations for operational purposes.

In short: Is 101.9 MHz FM in Mega Manila on the air as K5 News FM Mega Manila? The answer is no. 101.9 MHz is still off the air since the ABS-CBN Shutdown on May 5, 2020.
