PBB Gen 11: JMFyang-starred SRR Evil Origins, an Obscura Film Festival official selection + more

Regal Entertainment-produced Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, one of the eight official entry films 51st Metro Manila Film Festival that gained massive social media buzz and positive reactions from the 2025 segment, and made a horrifying but satisfying support to its fans and those appeared in the film, including Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemates Dylan Yturralde (Marco), JM Ibarra (James), and Fyang Smith (DJ Elle), will soon deliver the Filipino horror experience set in the years 1775, 2025, and 2050 to Berlin, Germany, as the film has been selected as the opening film of the Obscura Film Festival 2026, scheduled for October 16, 2026.

The 51st MMFF Entry Horror Film, released on December 25, 2025 (alongside seven other entry films), was the latest edition of the horror film franchise produced by Regal Entertainment, which received seven nominations and an award during the Gabi ng Parangal of the said MMFF season, including for the Best Visual Effects award (for Santelmo, Inc.), which took place two days after the cinematic release to Philippine cinemas. The film achieved over PHP 110,000,000 in box office gross two weeks after its release.

Apart from Dylan, JM, and Fyang, Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins also stars Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Althea Ablan, Sassa Gurl, Karina Bautista, Arkin Lagman, Alex Calleja, Manilyn Reynes, and Kaila Estrada for the 2025 segment, together with Carla Abellana, Janice de Belen, Loisa Andalio, Ysabel Ortega, Ashley Ortega, Elijah Alejo, Ara Mina, and Arlene Muhlach for the 1775 segment, and Richard Gutierrez, Ivana Alawi, Manilyn Reynes, Dustin Yu, Matt Lozano, Celyn David, Sarah Edwards, Maika Rivera, Raven Rigor, Angelica Lao, and Shecko Apostol for the 2050 segment.

JM and Fyang later appeared in Almost Us, also produced by Regal Entertainment, together with Project 8 Projects. They, alongside PBB Gen 11 co-alum Kanata Tapia and 2050 segment star Ivana Alawi, also appeared in an ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment-produced Prime Video original series, Love Is Never Gone.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Studios and Teatro Kapamilya recently announced a cast roster for the upcoming theatrical musical, The Art of Breaking Up, scheduled for between November and December of 2026 at the PETA Theater. At the moment, there are three Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemates appearing in the musical – Jarren Garcia and Kolette Madelo, who are featured vocalists, and Dingdong Bahan, who plays him as Ferdz.

Apart from Jarren, Kolette, and Dingdong, the musical also stars Meann Espinosa, Jude Hinumdum, Yen Santos, Yesh Bruce, Jel Tarun, and Analain Salvador. Dudz Teraña directs this theatrical play, while George de Jesus III wrote it. It is the second musical play to feature at least one PBB Gen 11 ex-housemate after Langit, Lupa, Im-Im-Impyerno, from where its ex-housemate, Gwen Montano, appeared here.

Kolette Madelo (Gracia) and Dingdong Bahan (Freddy), alongside Binsoy Namoca (Ethan), also appeared in the Kapamilya Primetime Series Blood vs. Duty, which airs on weekdays at 20:00 and streams in advance via Netflix and iWant.

Jarren Garcia will also release another single, Pinaka-Pretty, on June 12, 2026, two weeks after the release of GOTCHU.
