RESCAN YOUR DIGIBOX: RPTV on TV5 and RPN DTT Services

It’s time to rescan any of your Digital TV Devices like ABS-CBN TVplus, TV5 Sulit TV, GMA Affordabox, Baron DTV Receiver, and any other ISDB-T-enabled DTV Boxes, as well as any of your DTV-enabled TV Sets with an ISDB-T Digital Tuner!

Following the CNN Philippines’ Closure yesterday, it was now renamed to RPTV, being available on TV5 and RPN’s DTT Services, as recently launched at around 6h00. RPTV boasts of TV Shows backed by TV5 and OnePH, particularly TVJ Productions-led E.A.T. and Radyo5’s own radio shows, Ted Failon at DJ Chacha sa Radyo5 and Wanted sa Radyo.

In Mega Manila and other areas where TV5’s DTV Services are available (via DTV RF 18 and 51 in Mega Manila), you can find that channel on Channel 5.2, in which it has been previously assigned to OnePH. It’s High Definition feed is also available to RPN’s DTV Servies (via DTV RF 19 in Mega Manila), on channel 19.2.

In order to get this DTV channel, you’ll need to do a channel scan on any of your digital TV box. If your DTV Device or TV does have a “SCAN” button, just press that button and confirm. Wait for a few minutes to rescan all of the channels until it finishes.

Here are the list of DTV Channel Assignments for TV5, DTV RF 18 and DTV RF 51 in Mega Manila (Frequencies are 497.143 MHz and 695.143 MHz):
5.1 TV5
5.2 RPTV (Standard Definition)
5.3 One Sports
5.35 One Seg S1 (TV5 main programming in 1SEG Broadcast)

Here are the list of DTV Channel Assignments for RPN, DTV RF 19 in Mega Manila (Frequency is 503.143 MHz):
19.2 RPTV HD (High Definition)
19.6 RPTV 1-seg (1SEG Broadcast)

The DTV frequency and channel assignments may vary depending in your area and it’s signal strength. Consult your DTT Box or TV (with ISDB-T Tuner)’s user manual on how to rescan your Digital TV Devices or Sets.
