We are deeply concerned with these fake news posts we have seen in the past and in the recent times, especially in the case of the CNN Philippines’ closure by January 31, 2024. Here are the following Fake News Posts you should beware of:

CNBC, now in the Philippines? FALSE!

There is a claim from “Ollie” that a certain TV Network that has been supposedly to launch in the Philippines with the logo of CNBC, under the name, “CNBC Philippines”, is about to happen very soon.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from NBCUniversal that CNBC will have a Philippine franchise and to be broadcast on Free TV and Pay TV. Thus, this claim is FALSE AND MISLEADING. To date, CNBC is only available as an International Channel, being seen on several Pay TV Operators in nationwide and worldwide.

Several GMA and ABS-CBN News Anchors to move to RPN 9 after CNN Philippines’ Closure? FALSE!

There is a claim from “EJ” that once CNN Philippines’ planned closure this January 31, 2024 happens, there are some ABS-CBN and GMA news anchors, namely Kara David and Dyan Castillejo will be moved to RPN very soon.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from their respective news anchors’ social media accounts, including any parties involved in this fake news post from “EJ” that they will be moving to RPN very soon. Thus, this is FALSE and MISLEADING.

TV5 to change their logo by March 31, 2024? FALSE!

There is a claim from “Laemon” that the logo of your favorite Kapatid Network, TV5, is set to change with a new logo as shown at the left side portion of the Fake News Alert content at the left will be used within the effect of March 31, 2024.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from TV5 Network, Inc. that the Kapatid Network’s own channel will be rebranded with a new logo as shown from the said claim by March 31, 2024. Thus, any claims like these are FALSE and MISLEADING. Please stay tuned to the official social media pages of TV5 for more updates.

ABS-CBN to simulcast their shows on ALLTV by February 19, 2024? FALSE!

There is a claim from Renzo that some of the Kapamilya Shows such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Linlang TV, Can’t Buy Me Love, Zoomers, TV Patrol, Everybody Sing!, ASAP Natin To, I Can See Your Voice, and among many others, will soon to air on ALLTV beginning February 19, 2024.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
And it is also NOT YET CONFIRMED as of the moment – because there is no such news from ABS-CBN and AMBS (the owner and operator behind ALLTV) that your favorite Kapamilya Shows we’ve mentioned in here can be seen on the ALLTV Channel itself. Thus, this is FALSE and MISLEADING. To date, some of the reruns of your Kapamilya Shows of the past, such as Asintado, was only broadcast on the ALLTV. Stay tuned on the official social media accounts of ALLTV, ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN PR for more updates.
