Welcome to our Online Weekly Newsletter from DRPS PHCA’s own community news and bulletin board service, DRPS PHCA Free. It provides an overview of what has been happening to Philippine TV and Radio, including us, over the last week.
Featured Article: Notice the Blue Checkmark on @DRPSPHCA’s X? (Plus more from us too)

An update to DRPS PHCA’s social media accounts before the year ends – our X/Twitter Account, with account handle “@DRPSPHCA”, now has a Blue Checkmark beside our account name, because we have subscribed to a paid service of the social media platform called X Premium. This is our second paid service we’ve subscribed to for DRPS PHCA as part of our further improvements in line with our 5th Anniversary this coming January 27, 2026, since the first one we’ve bought is a VPS Plan and a domain name from Hostinger for DRPSPHCA.com website.
X Premium is a paid service offered by the social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, which enables subscribers to add a “Blue Checkmark” badge on their account names, even if they have changed the name and profile image of their account (upon re-verification). They can also post something even longer than the 280-character limit for non-subscribers and even create a community group.
With these new changes to DRPS PHCA’s X Account, let’s dive into something new for us to see when you browse our profile:
- The “Blue Checkmark” is displayed beside our name. If you click the Blue Checkmark icon or our account name when you visit @DRPSPHCA on X, you’ll know that we are verified on the social media platform since December 2025 (the actual day we subscribed and got verified with X Premium is today, December 20, 2025). Several social media accounts on X also had the Blue Checkmark before we did this.
- Our X Account has been ID Verified. Because X Premium subscribers allow people to verify to improve their user experience, security, and safety purposes, enhanced creator subscription and ad revenue sharing programs, priority support, and improved trust, this account has been verified with a valid ID, which is an option. This kind of verification is similar to YouTube, where new channels must verify with their valid mobile number and their facial image or a valid ID, before using additional benefits upon verification.
- We now just have DRPS PHCA Free Community on X/Twitter, along with Facebook! And yes, if you’re seeing this part, then you can also join our Community Group on X/Twitter, because the community feature is available with our Premium subscription. However, before you join our Facebook or X/Twitter community groups, you must follow our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of DRPS PHCA, which also include our community guidelines on what you should follow before you post or share something on there. You can join the DRPS PHCA Free Community Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/drpsphcafree/) on Facebook or on X (https://x.com/i/communities/2002239501515829494).
- We can also post even longer news posts on X, besides on DRPSPHCA.com and our Facebook page as well! And beginning today, any new posts on Facebook and on DRPSPHCA.com website will be posted with longer text on X/Twitter users than those without a subscription (which is done through a “threaded” post), which is included with X Premium. However, viewers on our Instagram and Threads accounts will remain short. The links to our web post on DRPSPHCA.com will also be shown.
What’s happening to DRPS PHCA right now?
Apart from this, we had also paid a song license from a royalty-free music provider, Free To Use, based in Denmark, for EUR 50 (PHP 3,557.12 as based on the transaction history, if converted into Philippine Pesos). The main reason why we purchased a license is that one of our videos uploaded on DRPS One Channel received a copyright takedown strike against a video ad of a local aesthetics center in General Santos, which occurred almost an hour after December 20, 2025, had started.
As stated on the claimant’s name from the email, the copyright strike can be removed, and the video will also be reinstated, if they’ve purchased a license involved from the strike for “commercial purposes”, or pay for an annual fee. So we did this purchase and inform them via email to retract the strike to remove the strike further.
Additionally, the DRPS PHCA may plan to use “royalty-free music” upon the purchase of a “subscription-based license” from various third-party providers for DRPS One Channel, and also for our radio ad channel, DRPS Two, in the future, because before the takedown strike, we had also seen many content ID claim-related emails from YouTube about the audio they used on their ads, which are non-monetizable.
Speaking of DRPS Two Channel, we’re also improving our YouTube Shopping experience for listening to their radio ads, as we are constantly adding related products available for purchase online in the Philippines, through Shopee, and now Lazada. You might check some of the radio ads with products available to buy with some special discounts and offers provided by Shopee and Lazada when you add them to your cart and check out.
When you buy their items from these marketplaces through DRPS Two Channel, you’ll be supporting the channel as well by watching and buying their items. You can also subscribe to DRPS Two and join our monthly membership for just PHP 49.00/month to view the next radio ads, seven (7) days in advance.
And stay tuned for our Retrospective 2025 year-ender special on DRPS PHCA’s social media accounts and on DRPSPHCA.com this New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025, featuring the past news we’ve loved to share once again before we end the year, and the past TV and Radio Commercials on DRPS One and DRPS Two channels, especially the campaign ads of the 2025 Midterm Polls’ candidates and partylist groups.

PH TV Update: Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV, coming January 2, 2026

In a recent company statement for ABS-CBN Corporation (PSE: ABS) as disclosed by the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), it announced that the well-beloved Kapamilya Shows, including FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, ASAP, and many others, will be broadcast on ALLTV2, owned and operated by Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS), Inc., beginning January 2, 2026.
This announcement has led to the conclusion that TV5 Network, Inc. will terminate its Content Agreement between the channel and the network, which will take effect beginning January 2, 2026, while ABS-CBN has also formally tendered payments to TV5 and MediaQuest Holdings in settlement of its obligations pursuant to each party’s respective agreements. The company will coordinate the orderly transition and proper winding down of the parties’ engagement. The Kapamilya network has also signed today a licensing agreement with AMBS, the owner and operator of ALLTV2 network, allowing them to air programs from Kapamilya Channel from January 2, 2026.
Thus, on January 1, 2026, this will be the final day of airing ABS-CBN Shows on TV5, after 1,803 days (4 years, 11 months, 1 week, and 1 day) of airing Kapamilya shows on the Kapatid network (since January 24, 2021), and on the following day, you will be able to watch FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, and ASAP, on ALLTV2, in full high definition, along with the other shows also seen on that channel – It’s Showtime, TV Patrol, Rainbow Rumble, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Rated Korina, and many more to come. It is also available for airing or streaming via Kapamilya Channel (on pay TV providers), A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWant, including GMA for It’s Showtime and Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.
Back on April 23, 2024, AMBS and ABS-CBN announced their partnership to deliver the past Kapamilya shows on ALLTV, including ABS-CBN News’ flagship primetime news program, TV Patrol, which started on May 13, 2024, under the “Jeepney TV sa ALLTV” brand. Its programming was then later expanded to It’s Showtime on June 17, 2024, and almost a year later, when Maalaala Mo Kaya made a return on-air, the channel also aired the said anthology drama, followed by Rainbow Rumble months after.
The ALLTV2 channel broadcasts on Analog RF Channel 2 and Digital RF Channel 16 DT 2.1 in Mega Manila, both of which are the former frequencies used by ABS-CBN before the Philippines’ National Telecommunications Commission shut it down on May 5, 2020, following the franchise expiration. Citing that ALLTV2’s digital signal was broadcast in Full High Definition, when the ABS-CBN shows, like FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Roja, What Lies Beneath, ASAP, and many more, will air on that channel from January 2, 2026, it will provide a clearer viewing than being seen in Standard Definition.
PBB Gen 11: Catch Roja, and What Lies Beneath on ALLTV beginning January 2, 2026, Tropang G.O.A.T. is leaving soon, plus more

For our fans of Kanata Tapia, who played the role of Chiyaki in Tropang G.O.A.T. on iWant, which is a production of Unitel StraightShooters, in collaboration with Milo Philippines and FIVB, if you see the words “Leaving Soon” on the iWant app or website right now, then that means this series will no longer be seen on the streaming platform in the coming days. In case you have missed all eight (8) episodes of the series, then hurry, because you must watch this before Chiyaki ends her gaming journey in life made from great things started from small beginnings with Milo!
Do note that Tropang G.O.A.T. is only available for Philippine audiences. The series also stars two of the Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 housemates that entered months after this – Joaquin Arce as Gino, and Krystal Mejes as Lia, who Kanata Tapia supported their inside the house journeys in PBB. The video clips of the series featuring Kanata herself are also shared on DRPS PHCA’s official Facebook, X/Twitter, Threads, Instagram, and TikTok accounts.
For our fans of Kai Montinola, who is playing the role of Ice Mercado on Roja, and Dingdong Bahan, Patrick Ramirez, and Kolette Madelo, playing the respective roles of Tim, Tomas, and Young Leizel on What Lies Beneath, please take a moment to read this advisory regarding the airing of these shows on ABS-CBN Platforms.
Recently, ABS-CBN announced that these shows on Primetime, alongside FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and ASAP, will no longer be seen on TV5, effective January 2, 2026, following the termination of the Content Agreement between TV5 Network, Inc. and ABS-CBN Corporation, and will be moving to ALLTV2 Channel from that date following the signing of licensing agreement with Advanced Media Broadcasting System, Inc. (AMBS, Inc.) which obtains the airing of Kapamilya Channel’s programming.
That means, in order for you to watch these shows which star these Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemates, beginning January 2, 2026, you may switch to ALLTV2 channel, broadcasting on Analog RF Channel 2 and Digital RF 16 DT 2.1 in Mega Manila. If your area (elsewhere in Mega Manila) is available to see these shows via ALLTV’s Digital TV Channels, you may need to rescan your digital set-top box (i.e., ABS-CBN TVplus, GMA Affordabox, TV5 Sulit TV, Baron DTV Receiver, etc.) or a TV Set with an ISDB-T tuner built-in. It is also available via pay TV providers (i.e., Cable and Satellite), as well as on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live, with advanced streaming available for Netflix (2 days in advance) and iWant (3 days in advance) subscribers.
Previously, for our Kaunforgettabolabolabols who are watching Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 since the opening of the Big Brother House on July 20, 2024, until the Big Night happened live on October 26, 2024, including its “Big 4Ever” spin-off (from December 9, 2024 to January 24, 2025), the reality show was broadcast on-air via TV5, alongside A2Z and Kapamilya Channel. It also aired an ABS-CBN TV Series on that channel, which featured the ex-housemates here, which is Sins of the Father, starring Dylan Yturralde as Kenny, Binsoy Namoca as Josh, and Kolette Madelo as Tin.
Our Kaunforgettabolabolabols will never forget this from the time when Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 was seen on the Kapatid network until the end of their content agreement with ABS-CBN – weeks after Sins of the Father ends, then Roja and What Lies Beneath were premiered, and we hope that our viewers will catch their acts in these shows too on ALLTV2 channel, beginning January 2, 2026.

Also, if you missed all of the ten (10) episodes of JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith’s first-ever online series on iWant, “Ghosting: Part 1”, then this is the chance to check it out without a subscription or an iWant account. That means you will be able to stream all episodes of Ghosting on iWant at no extra charge, worldwide, until January 31, 2026.
However, to watch Part 2 of “Ghosting” under the title “Deja-BOO!” (from episodes 11 up to 16), including the early access episodes of “ROJA” and “What Lies Beneath”, you need to subscribe to iWant for as low as PHP 35.00 per month in the Philippines, or USD 4.99 per month elsewhere (or equivalent currency). Feel every story, anytime, anywhere, only on iWant. Download the app and subscribe via Google Play, the Apple App Store, or via www.iwanttfc.com.
Additionally, for fans of PBB Gen 11’s “R2K” – Kolette Madelo, Rain Celmar, and Kai Montinola, last December 12, 2025, ABS-CBN Star Music released the “A Kapamilya Christmas” album. Along with these Gen 11 alums, other Kapamilya artists come together to bring a remake of the past Christmas Station IDs of the Kapamilya Network from 2009 to 2024, in this Spotify Playlist.
With that playlist, they’ve recorded a new version of the network’s heavily popularized Christmas Station ID from 2015, “Thank You for the Love”, and it is now available for streaming on all music streaming platforms, with its lyric video available for streaming via the network’s YouTube Channe, while the remix version of Rain’s “b luvd” and Kolette’s “Galaw Galaw”, along with those from Michelle Dee, Wrive, Viñas Deluxe, and Khimo Gumatay, under the “2025 Remixes” album, can also be streamed as well. You can also stream it across all major music streaming platforms.
