DRPS PHCA Newsletter – July 8 to 14, 2023

​Moreover, a day after the said channel’s termination, SMNI managed to create a new YouTube Channel for their News Channel with their handle, “@/smninewsofficial” but later terminated a few days later. At this moment, the YouTube Channel of SMNI’s own AM Radio Station, DZAR 1026 remains active and should be terminated as soon as YouTube and Google has done so.You can check these posts on our Facebook and Threads pages.

If we measured the TV Ads during the July 1, 2023 Episodes of TAPE-GMA’s Eat Bulaga!, ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime (thru it’s initial telecast on GTV), and TVJ-TV5’s E.A.T. that we’ve spectacularly gained more to advertisers upon our basis on our countings thru the commercial breaks and the DRPS One Channel, then what about during the July 3 to 7, 2023 episodes of these two 20h50 TV Series on Philippine Primetime TV, Royal Blood on GMA and The Iron Heart on Kapamilya Channel?DRPS PHCA measured it. We’ve based the advertisers during these two shows from these dates and it has found out that during all of the fifteen commercial gaps (three commercial gaps per day multiplied by five days of coverage), we have seen that The Iron Heart has been seen by 283 TV Commercials – thats compared to GMA’s Royal Blood’s 63 TV Ads (sixteen commercial gaps, where four commercial gaps per day, five days of coverage, and based on one channel only), despite it’s continued rise in TV Ratings, wherein the July 7, 2023 Episode garnered a 11.1% Rating than The Iron Heart’s 6.8%.

It’s been less than two weeks before the extended deadline* passes to register any of your existing Smart, Globe and Dito SIM Card, regardless of what service.If you’re already registered, you don’t need to do anything, but if it isn’t, register your existing SIM Card on or before July 25, 2023 to continue enjoying their voice, SMS text messaging and internet access. If your existing SIM Card is not registered beyonds that date, your SIM will become useless – meaning that you will be unable to send and receive SMS text messages and phone calls – and even your access to any online accounts, from social media, online delivery, banking, and among others, whether it is for two-factor authentication, change of password, or anything else, will be lost.

We encourage that you still have the chance, time and power to register your existing SIM, or your SIM will become deactivated and useless. Here are the links to register your existing Prepaid SIM (or even a newer one):

Postpaid Subscribers are encouraged to do not take actions, but for existing Globe and Dito Postpaid Subscribers, updating your information might be necessary. If you are a Smart Postpaid Subscriber, you may need to text YES to 5858.

For subscribers of Cherry Prepaid that has been shut down in March 16, 2023 and who have been switched to any telco/MVNO through MNP, regardless of what type of porting is (internal or external) prior to that date, should still register their existing SIMs to continue using their services.

Any SIM Cards purchased after December 27, 2022 (the first day of the initial period of SIM Card Registration) will remain active as is even the extended deadline passes.

*The Deadline has been Extended until July 25, 2023 as approved by DICT WITH NO EXTENSIONS. SHALL BE MADE.
