
JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, one of the ex-housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11, who were respectively named the final evictee and the Big Winner of the season, have just crowned a new Prom King and Queen of the Night, during the Star Magical Prom 2026: The Future, which took place at the Bellevue Manila on June 26, 2026.
JM and Fyang also received a Best Promposal Award, courtesy of online lending platform BillEase. According to the final votes standing for all of these stellar awards, JM and Fyang were voted by 56% and 58%, respectively, by the public for the Prom King and Queen of the Star Magical Prom 2026.
For Prom King nominees, Joaquin Arce and Iñigo Jose received 25% and 11% of the vote, respectively. For Prom Queen nominees, Kolette Madelo and Bianca de Vera received 25% and 13% of the votes, respectively. For Best Promposal, JMFyang ranked first and won the Best Promposal Award with 51% of the votes. The other Promposal nominees, LelQuin (Joaquin Arce and Lella Ford) and LizGuel (Eliza Borromeo and Miguel Vergara) received 32% and 16% of the votes, respectively.
Meanwhile, Star Magical Prom 2026 also named a new Prom Prince and Princess, ahead of the announcement of the other Stellar Awards. Based on the final vote count for the said Stellar Award, Fred Moser and Krystal Mejes, with 77% and 50% of the votes, respectively, are proclaimed as the Prom Prince and Princess of the year.
Additionally, the Star Magical Prom 2026 also named Lella Ford for Best Infinity Walk Award (courtesy of sanitary brand Kotex), Krystal Mejes for Planet Forward Award (courtesy of coffee brand Nescafé), Reign Parani and River Joseph for Best Dressed Awardees (courtesy of Metro Magazine), and Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin for Couple of the Night (courtesy of mobile phone brand Samsung Galaxy).
In the previous Star Magical Prom held last March 14, 2024, six artists were proclaimed Prince and Princesses of the year, including Raikko Mateo, Harvey Bautista, Matthew Cruz, Trisha Gomez, Dalia Varde, and Anji Salvacion. The said event from that year also previously named KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad as the Prom King and Queen of the Night, and also received the Best Promposal Award.
Citing that JM and Fyang were known for Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11, other ex-housemates from that season also appeared at the event, including Kanata Tapia, Marc Nanninga, Jan Silva, JP Cabrera, Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, and the main show host Jasmine Dudley-Scales.
Similarly, the newly crowned Prom Prince and Princess, Fred and Krystal, were also known for the same reality show, but from the Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 season. In addition to these two artists, Joaquin Arce, Lella Ford, Eliza Borromeo, Miguel Vergara, Iñigo Jose, Rave Victoria, Carmelle Collado, and Reich Alim were also seen at the futuristic prom night.
Also appeared at the Star Magical Prom 2026 were Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Dustin Yu (as a special participant, despite being part of Sparkle Artist Center), Bianca de Vera, Emilio Daez (main show host), Ralph de Leon, River Joseph, Shanaia Gomez, Wrive, DNA, Jana Agoncillo, Chunsa Jung, Heart Ramos, Several Star Hunt Academy Girl, Boy, and Teen Trainees, Rhianna Santiago, Nathan Garcia, Reign Parani, and many others, to name a few, based on what we had seen in the live streaming of the event.

DRPS PHCA launches the DRPS PHCA App, free on Google Play and Huawei AppGallery
As part of the DRPS PHCA’s expansion of online reach through its social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter, the launch of DRPSPHCA.com website in November 2025, and following its fifth anniversary on January 27, 2026, the Archive has officially launched its own Android App called the DRPS PHCA App.
Available for download on the Google Play Store for most Android phones and tablets and on the Huawei AppGallery for Huawei devices (running Android-based HarmonyOS), the DRPS PHCA App uses the content of its own website, DRPSPHCA.com, which feature several articles related to Philippine Television and Radio, updates of several celebrities, including those from Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 and Celebrity Collab Edition Seasons 1 and 2, and its weekly Newsletter, published on Saturdays.
The DRPS PHCA App was initially released on the Huawei AppGallery in February 2026, followed by the Google Play Store on June 22, 2026, at 11:30. The app is available for free to download globally (except Mainland China) on these app marketplaces mentioned, and is compatible on most Android phones and tablets running the Android 7.0 (Nougat) operating system.

The Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) will hold the 9th edition of The Entertainment Editors’ Choice (The Eddys) awards, taking place at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Newport World Resorts, situated in Pasay City, Metro Manila, on July 5, 2026.
Hosted by Kim Atienza and Pops Fernandez, the awarding ceremony will feature outstanding Filipino films released across various platforms over the past year, competing for top honors in 14 categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress.
Furthermore, the show will open with a special number with two of the Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemates, including Gen 11 alum and actress Kanata Tapia and Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 Kapamilya ex-housemate Fred Moser, known for their appearance in the Mahiwaga music video sung by Tarsier Records singer-songwriter Zion Aguirre, together with the cast of the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival entry film ImPerfect.
Before their opening performance in The 9th Eddys, Fred Moser and Kanata Tapia, as Star Magic artists, will appear in the Star Magical Prom 2026: The Future, which took place on June 26, 2026.
Also present at the awarding ceremony is highly acclaimed actor and AKTOR Founding President Dingdong Dantes, who presents their accomplished and ongoing initiatives with SPEEd, as they continue to develop their community engagement platforms and industry collaborations.
Singer Jamie Rivera will lead and deliver his posthumous tribute performance. And to conclude the 9th The Eddys Awards, a closing performance with Andrea Gutierrez and David Young will mark the end of the awarding ceremony.

Coco Martin’s Sigabo premiered on multiple channels and scored more than 400,000 concurrent online viewers
On June 22, 2026, the highly anticipated premiere and much awaited comeback of Coco Martin and Julia Montes, in his own Sigabo, which aired its pilot episode on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, ALLTV2, A2Z, TV5, and iWant, made a mark in online viewership, as it registered a strong 404,124 peak concurrent viewers on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, during the series is streaming live – a higher number compared to its predecessor, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which achieved 341,509 during the same premiere airing on February 13, 2023.
The series also registered higher TV ratings, according to data from Fifty5 Blue (formerly Kantar Media) and Nielsen Philippines, where the series got respective 13.8% and 8.2% ratings. The DRPS PHCA TV Ad Listings also showed that Sigabo had aired 59 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel, 46 TV Ads on A2Z, and 49 TV Ads on ALLTV2 and TV5, compared to The Master Cutter, which had 48 TV Ads on GMA (same timeslot basis).
Coco Martin, who played the lead role of Gabo Magtibay, made a mark in his grand TV comeback in an action-filled and feel-good premiere that aired on several TV networks (ABS-CBN-Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, A2Z, and TV5) and online streaming platforms (Kapamilya Online Live and iWant), which sparked widespread buzz among viewers.
The other casts of Sigabo also lauded the cinematic quality of the action sequences and highlighted how he continues to elevate his productions as a lead actor, director, and producer, which delivered world-class storytelling and visuals that are on par with international series. Among the highlights of the episode, as an example, was an unexpected kiss between their characters, Gabo (Coco, an ex-convict turned secret agent) and Sam (Julia, an investigative agent), who clashed following a high-speed car chase.
Yeng Constantino, the singer behind the official theme song for the series, also delivered a live performance of it, while some cast members were also able to show their love to online viewers during a special online gap show via Kapamilya Online Live to further tackle the series.
Also attending the Kapamilya special screening for Sigabo were the other cast members, employees, and executives from various television networks.
Meeanwhile, following their successful nationwide motorcade stops in Manila, Cebu, Cavite, and Palawan, weeks before Coco Martin’s Sigabo premiered on-air via Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, ALLTV2, A2Z, and TV5 on June 22, 2026, the whole casts of Sigabo, alongside its lead casts – Coco Martin and Julia Montes – will bring their festive motorcade to Pampanga on June 28, 2026 (Sunday).
Led by Hari ng Aksyon sa Ating Henerasyon, the Prime Actress, and the whole cast of Sigabo, the motorcade will kick off in San Fernando, Pampanga, at 16:00, featuring a fun-filled celebration, complete with impromptu song numbers from the stars. The Pampanga leg also serves as the final stop of their nationwide motorcade, where Filipinos – from young kids, to grandparents, and families – packed the streets and chanted the show’s title, as they greeted the cast members.

Bodjie Pascua turns into a villain in Blood vs. Duty, GeLex for Libreng Manood DITO, JMFyang for Will You Fake Marry Me
Bodjie Pascua, one of the childhood-favorite educational show hosts of the past, known for Batibot and Epol Apple, fuels viewers’ anger as the mastermind of the destabilization scheme, as seen in the Kapamilya primetime series aired on weekdays at 20:45, Blood vs. Duty.
The gun smuggling operation with Marcus (Richard Gutierrez), Jalil (Gerald Anderson), and Lara (Bela Padilla) continues to escalate its conspiracy, as he, Bodjie, played the role of Manuel Carillo, a retired military general, who stepped out of the shadows, revealing the true extent of his criminal ambitions.
Viewers have drawn ire for being the real boss of Felix (Baron Geisler), and the cunning adoptive father of Lara has drawn the viewers’ ire for the well-loved educational show host. The new chapter of Blood vs. Duty will also feature growing suspicion about how General Carillo has been involved in recent events, and whether he could still carry out his plan for mayhem when Japanese investors arrived at the Miraikona Economic Summit. The premise of the Jojo Saguin-directed series follows June (Fyang), a cheerful and hardworking Tocino brand promoter who learns she is set to inherit a vast fortune from a distant family patriarch on one condition – by marrying his godchild, Ping (JM), the young CEO of the very Tocino brand she represents.
Despite his distrust and her determination to secure the inheritance, the two enter a fake engagement. But as they work to prove their love is real, genuine feelings begin to blossom.
