DRPS PHCA Weekly Newsletter – December 23 to 29, 2023

Hello dear viewers of DRPS PHCA! The archive will introduce you our own Newsletter available on the DRPS PHCA Website, the DRPS PHCA Newsletter! We will bring you updates in and throughout the Archives, from DRPS One Channel to our New Media Contents on our social media.

As what it said during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2023, whether you’ve here at the Big Dome last December 13, 2023, or if you watch the two part special on December 17 and, 2023, ABS-CBN will bring you something new this 2024 – and they are seven of them.

Five of the TV and Online Shows from ABS-CBN Studios are slated to release this 2024, with Linlang’s Teleserye Version is slated to premiere this January 2024. The other two are ABS-CBN Studios’ offerings they will be renewing these reality shows – first up is The Voice Teens on it’s third season, and Pinoy Big Brother on it’s eleventh season. For these two reality shows, stay tuned for any news regarding the auditions on how to be part of each of these two shows.

Not only that, if any of the TV and Online Shows of ABS-CBN Studios will also premiere this 2024 that hasn’t been listed in here, it will be also published on ABS-CBN’s official social media accounts, so please stay tuned as well for more updates on this!

While 2024 is coming nearby around the corner, then why not take a look back on what GMA Network has offered in 2023, from TV Series, Reality Shows, and among others?

As based on their 2023 Offerings Video, they have promised that they will air Underage, Magandang Dilag, The Seed of Love, Stolen Life, Luv Is, The Write One,  Hearts on Ice, Voltes V: Legacy, Love Before Sunrise, Battle of the Judges, Resibo: Walang Lusot Ang May Atraso and among many others on GMA Afternoon Prime, GMA Telebabad, GMA Best Weekend Ever, and other related programming blocks from the Kapuso Network, including NCAA Seasons 98 (for the Women’s Volleyball Tournaments) and 99 (for the Men’s Basketball Tournaments). Speaking of GMA Afternoon Prime (the “Hapon ng Pinoy”), as what it mentioned in their 2024 offerings video of the said block, they will promise that they will premiere Makiling this January 8, 2023 (which is a production of GMA Public Affairs), and very soon, Lilet Matias: Attorney-At-Law and Shining Inheritance, as well as what will be a possible happenings for their highest-rating daytime show for today, Abot Kamay na Pangarap. More details to come once the network’s offerings for Telebabad was published.

​More offerings to come during the Kapuso Countdown to 2024 aside from these three new shows on GMA Afternoon Prime, along with the other blocks from the Kapuso Network!

We all know that Sonshine Media Network International (or SMNI for short) was plagued with controversies, like the termination of the YouTube Channel of SMNI News Channel (along with the other related channels) last July 2023.

However, on December 21, 2023, we have heard the news from the National Telecommunications Commission, our country’s telecoms regulatory entity, has issued a 30-day show cause order against Swara Sug Media Corporation, who owns the SMNI’s business. As a result, the channel (and it’s radio stations) went off the air from December 22, 2023, with pay TV operators broadcasting this channel are cutting from their sattelite feed on their headends.

​In addition, two of their shows of the network, namely Gikan Sa Masa, Para Sa Masa and Laban Kasama Ang Bayan are suspended by MTRCB for 14 days within the effect of December 18, 2023 to avoid any further violations or protect the interest and public welfare.
