Fake News Alerts – December 27, 2023

Well, we’re here at DRPS PHCA to beware of fake news posts, despite we haven’t posted them due to our Retrospective 2023 Archive and Multimedia Content Editions is in the process. But anyways, we are back again to beware of these fake news posts that we have seen recently. Here are the ones to avoid these:

An anonymous member from a Facebook Group is claiming that the Kapamilya Network has announced that some of their well known teleseryes and public affairs shows will be simulcated on GMA Network’s own sister channel, GTV, by 2024, and has claimed that the DRPS PHCA has announced this news.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from DRPS PHCA, ABS-CBN and GMA that some or most of the Kapamilya Shows like FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Can’t Buy Me Love, Senior High, My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!, Tao Po, and among others will be broadcast on GMA’s GTV by next year. Thus, this claim is FALSE and MISLEADING. As of this date, It’s Showtime was the only ABS-CBN Show being simulcasted on GTV, with several Kapamilya Shows from Teleseryes, Reality and Public Affairs Shows can also be seen on A2Z and TV5. If you have seen these claims, that is FALSE and MISLEADING, as well as PLAGIARISM for using our name as their source, which we did not announce this news at the moment.

There is a claim from “Renzo” that apart from what the Kapamilya Network is slated to offer this 2024, he claimed that Pamilya Sagrado can be seen on the Kapamilya Gold Block, along with Missing You and When A Man Falls In Love can be seen on that block as an another offering from the network. He also claimed that Linlang will be a replacement to Senior High by January 29, 2024, with the other Philippine TV Adaptations from what the Kapamilya Network has to offer – What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, Its Okay Not To Be Okay and The Bag Man will also be broadcast on Primetime Bida, although the network has not yet announced from what time that these shows will be premiered or streamed on several providers and channels.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from ABS-CBN that Pamilya Sagrado will be part of the Kapamilya Gold Block, as well as Missing You and When A Man Falls In Love will also premiere on that block, including the news he claimed about several Primetime Bida Shows will also be shown. Thus, this is FALSE and MISLEADING, as well as plagiarism for using DRPS PHCA as their source, despite we haven’t announced them.

As of this date, only Linlang, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (PH Adaptation), It’s Okay Not To Be Okay (PH Adaptation), The Bag Man, Pamilya Sagrado, The Voice Teens Season 3 and Pinoy Big Brother Season 11 are the Kapamilya Network’s own offerings this 2024 (as previously announced during the Forever Grateful: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2023), with Linlang’s own TV Series version will be premiered by an unknown date of January 2024 (that means, this will be airing it’s first episode by one day of January 2024). Thus, all claims like that are FALSE, MISLEADING and for the use of DRPS PHCA as a source while we didn’t post it, PLAGIARISM.

Please always stay tuned on the official social media accounts from ABS-CBN, ABS-CBN PR, it’s related production companies, it’s related affiliated and entities, and among others for further announcements so you will be able to know from what day and airing timeslot of these seven offerings we’ve mentioned, and for The Voice Teens and Pinoy Big Brother, for the auditions of these two new reality show seasons.

Another claim from an anonymous member of the same Facebook Group has claimed that GMA 7 was temporarily rebranded as Vitenam Television’s VTV 7 in the Philippines.

OUR VERDICT: FALSE.
There is no such news from GMA Network and Vietnam Television that these two will be negociating to broadcast VTV 7 (one of the educational and children’s channel of the Vitenam Television or Đài Truyền hình Việt Nam, the state broadcaster of Vietnam), and air some or most of the programs on any GMA Network’s channels (whether on GMA, GTV and it’s DTV Channels). Thus, this is FALSE AND MISLEADING.
