Welcome to our Online Weekly Newsletter from DRPS PHCA’s own community news and bulletin board service, DRPS PHCA Free. It provides an overview of what has been happening to Philippine TV and Radio, including us, over the last week.

Right after the success of their 5th Weekly Task called “PBB Network”, another two Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 housemates have just been evicted from the house for receiving the lowest votes to save on the Maya. As previously mentioned in past eviction votings, only one Kapuso (Sparkle) and one Kapamilya (Star Magic) will be evicted upon finalization of the votes upon closure.

Earlier, in the 2nd Nomination Night, only Team Determined Warriors was the nominated group for this week as it was chosen by the one who decided to nominate by six points, are safe from winning all of the three Ligtask Challenges (2nd set), the Smiling Angels, which got 41 Ligtask Points (the not nominated team, the Strong-Willed Fighters, got 29 Ligtask Points as well, while the Determined Warriors got 14 Points). This nomination night is in the form of a face-to-face nomination.

When Bianca Gonzalez-Intal announced the evictees for this week during the live 2nd Eviction Night of the reality show, Kapuso Housemate Marco Masa, known for the TV Series “Maka: Lovestream”, and Eliza Borromeo, known for the primetime series “What Lies Beneath”, had ended their journey inside the Big Brother house. Based on the final votes tally, on the Kapuso side, 14.85% of viewers voted to Save Marco inside the house, while on the Kapamilya side, 24.19% voted to Save Eliza.

Citing the Team Determined Warriors are the nominated group within the week in PBB Collab 2.0, where the evicted housemates, Eliza and Marco, are part of the team, the other four housemates (two Kapuso and two Kapamilya) will continue their journey inside the house. For Kapuso Housemates, Anton Vinzon received 17.37% of the vote, while Heath Jornales received 67.78%. For Kapamilya Housemates, Carmelle Collado received 26.99% of the vote, while Krystal Mejes received 48.82%.

For the mechanics in their 5th Weekly Task, called “PBB Network”, the housemates have to create six (6) shows. Within the streaming period (November 26 to 28 from 17h00 to 18h00 on FB/Pinoy Big Brother), there will be two (2) live shows each day, which star this week’s nominated housemates previously mentioned, and to win, they have to get at least 200,000 (two hundred thousand) live views within the period.

For the final results of the weekly task, the housemates completed the task successfully, as among the six shows, such as “Ang Laban Ko” by Anton, “Ang Pangarap Ko’y Tangumpay” by Carmelle, “Pangarap” by Krystal, “Kuya Justine” by Marco, “The Moon and The Star” by Heath, and “Eli Unfiltered: The Life of a Lucky Girl” by Eliza, they’ve made and streamed live on Pinoy Big Brother’s Facebook Page, it had a combined peak live viewership of 219,723, surpassing the required 200,000.

Entertainment: ROJA, the no. 1 show on Netflix since its premiere, 7 Star Magic artists, loyal for 20 years

ROJA caps off with a pilot week, became the no. 1 show on Netflix PH

The latest thriller-suspense drama offering from ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment has capped off its online streaming and on-air run as Roja, led by Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri, has reached number one on TV Shows on Netflix Philippines. At the same time, as of November 27, 2025, it ranked 8th among the top 10 shows on iWant in the Philippines.

When the series premiered on-air, based on the ad loads provided by our DRPS PHCA TV Ad Listings, the November 24, 2025 premiere of ROJA aired 45 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel and 41 TV Ads on A2Z, TV5, and Jeepney TV (delayed airing). Still, when we talk about TV Ratings, according to a Nielsen NUTAM Report, it has a TV Rating of 4.8% (combined). However, the competing TV series on the 20:45 timeslot, Sanggang Dikit FR, was selected by 8.5% (c. GMA ST + GTV DT) despite having an ad load of 21.

In terms of Peak Concurrent Viewers on Kapamilya Online Live via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube Channel, the November 25, 2025 episode was viewed by about 505,151 Kapamilyas during the airing time (this concurrent viewers count does not include the 5:15 replay streaming on the said platform). At the moment, the Concurrent Views for the November 24, 2025 episode of the series are unavailable.

Meanwhile, you have also witnessed some of your favorite local artists who were part of the event that Sleighs the Night at the Okada Manila on November 23, 2025, including veteran actors and actresses, Pinoy Big Brother alums, finest loveteams of today (DonBelle, FranSeth, RKane, JMFyang, LoiNie, and many more), P-Pop Groups (like BGYO, WRIVE, BINI, and DNA), singers and songwriters, and many more.

In the central part of the event, seven (7) artists have been part of Star Magic for about 20 years and deserve a pledge of loyalty, with an award presented to them. These artists include Gerald Anderson (known for Sins of the Father), Jake Cuenca (known for What Lies Beneath), Joem Bascon, Zanjoe Marudo, Sam Milby, Enchong Dee (known for being a host of Pinoy Big Brother), and Kim Chiu (also known for being a host of PBB and known for The Alibi).

Additionally, the Best Dressed Awardee of Metro Magazine was awarded to Brent Manalo and Jessy Mendiola, with Esnyr Ranollo being named as the Slayable Look of the Night, provided by the event’s sponsor, Shein, and Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin (FranSeth) were named as the Couple of the Night by Okada Manila.

Additionally, BGYO and the casts of Ghosting (JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith, Vivoree Esclito, and Zach Guerrero) shared the magic of giving through their respective Share the Magic videos, shown during the live stream of the event and on Star Magic’s official YouTube Channel.

The PHP 1,000,000.00 in donations from the Okada Foundation was given to the PGH Medical Foundation. At the same time, PHP 500,000.00 from the lending app and event sponsor, Billease, was donated to ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation (the ABS-CBN Foundation).

PH TV Update: ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel gets terminated

In the morning of November 29, 2025, a specific hacking incident occurred on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel, leading to a particular cryptocurrency scam being live-streamed on the channel, along with the main Kapamilya Online Live streaming, in which, at that time, the replay of the most recent episodes from the Primetime Bida block was shown (citing that the service is streaming their well-beloved Kapamilya shows live and on a late-night/early-morning replay schedule).

The hacking incident also affects the official YouTube Channel of the network’s noontime show, It’s Showtime, which also posted the same cryptocurrency scam live stream. YouTube later terminated both channels for violating its Community Guidelines. ABS-CBN later responded on It’s Showtime via a social media post that it will temporarily stream today’s live broadcast on its Facebook page and later on iWant’s YouTube Channel, in addition to Kapuso Stream on GMA Network’s YouTube Channel. In contrast, It’s Showtime is broadcast on-air via Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, GMA, and ALLTV2.

While ABS-CBN and YouTube are currently working to restore the two channels, the tonight’s Live 2nd Eviction Night broadcast for Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 will continue to be streamed online on Kapamilya Online Live via iWant’s YouTube Channel (as a delayed airing), including TV Patrol Weekend, Rainbow Rumble, Your Face Sounds Familiar, the past episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya, and many others.

The said YouTube Channel, including ABS-CBN News, will also serve as a temporary home for Kapamilya Online Live until YouTube restores its channel, which is also freely available for streaming via the iWant app and website for Kapamilya Channel live streaming and the network’s on-demand and exclusive content, and on ABS-CBN’s Facebook Page.

The ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel had over 54.3 million subscribers, the most of any channel in the Philippines and in Southeast Asia.

Politicalism: Former PH President Rodrigo Duterte remains in jail in The Hague, ICC said no to interim release

The International Criminal Court denies all of the three grounds for interim release of F. Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) Appeals Chamber unanimously rejected all three grounds for a bid for interim release of the Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, who has been arrested in The Hague, Netherlands, and delivered its decision via live stream today, November 28, 2025.

The said president was arrested on March 11, 2025, for alleged crimes against humanity during his administration during the controversial drug war in the country, for which the International Criminal Court had charged the former president.

The Duterte Family accepted the decision with “peaceful hearts”. At the same time, they will continue “to work with the defence team and to lead the former president free from jail in The Hague”, while Malacanang respects the court’s decision to reject it.

Meanwhile, supporters of the former president expressed disappointment over the ICC’s decision. In addition, the victims of families caused by the war on drugs and Human Rights Advocates had broadly welcomed the decision to reject the Interim Release of the former president.
