DRPS PHCA Weekly Newsletter – November 11 to 17, 2023

Hello dear viewers of DRPS PHCA! The archive will introduce you our own Newsletter available on the DRPS PHCA Website, the DRPS PHCA Newsletter! We will bring you updates in and throughout the Archives, from DRPS One Channel to our New Media Contents on our social media.

There are several Fake News posts and online scam ads we’ve seen within the period of November 5 to 11, 2023 that we’ve issued a Fake News Alert on our social media accounts. All of the following claims and scams as we’ve issued in here are FALSE, MISLEADING, and for the scam ads, IT’S STILL A SCAM. DON’T FALL FOR THEM!

1. A claim from “Jonel” that Black Rider on GMA Network can also be seen on TV5 after Frontline Pilipinas. It is FALSE. The only truth is, Black Rider, one of the recently-premiered TV Series on GMA, can be seen on weekdays via GMA, Kapuso Stream and PINOY HITS at 20h00, and GTV at 21h40.
2. A claim from “Robbie” that It’s Showtime (including Magpasikat 2023) can also be seen on Teleradyo Serbisyo. It is FALSE. The only truth is, It’s Showtime can be seen on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, Jeepney TV and GTV on Mondays to Saturdays at 11h30. It can also be seen on iWantTFC and TFC IPTVOD.
3. A claim that a Ben&Ben Member has been endorsed a specific weight loss product, and has been featured on TV via GMA’s Unang Hirit. IT IS FALSE AND SCAM. There is no such news from Ben&Ben, GMA Integrated News and Unang Hirit has aired a news article that a member of the said musical group has endorsed a weight loss product. Also, the said ad’s website pertaining to the said weight loss product is also SCAM.
4. A claim that Smart Prepaid has introduced an Unli Data offer that you can get it for only P699 for 30 days and P1099 for 365 days. IT IS FALSE AND SCAM. There is no such news from Smart that they will have their Unli Data Packages being sold for P699/mo. and P1099/yr. As per Smart (formerly the GigaLife App), they do have their Unli 5G Data packages to choose from – P299 for 7 Days (with 3GB non-5G Data), P599 for 30 Days (with 12GB non-5G Data), and P799 for 30 Days (with 24GB non-5G Data). 
5. A claim that when you buy a Barley Grass Powder online via Shopee, Lazada, Zalora, and etc. from any of their official stores is considerably fake. IT IS NOT TRUE. When you buy a Barley Grass Powder on Shopee, Lazada, and other online merchant’s store officially, you can assure that they are safe, effective and FDA Approved. Any ads related to this being sold on a website related to that particular ad is FALSE and MISLEADING.
6. An impersonating Robinsons Mall YouTube Channel is selling scam products online, through advertising on YouTube. The said ads (including those that have been advertised on YouTube) are led by the company named “Công ty TNHH Xuất Nhập Khẩu Hậu Phương” (transl. Hau Phuong Import Export Company Limited), which is based in Vietnam. The YouTube Channel is an IMPERSONATION, while the videos and their related ads on it are ALSO SCAM. As part of our “I-Boycott Ang Peke” Campaign, we realized that the YouTube Channel, “Robinsons Malls Online”, with handle “RobinsonsMallOnline” has used their name, logo, and cover photo which are trademarked by law. That means, the account was considered IMPERSONATION and you may need to report their impersonating channel. The official YouTube Channel of Robinsons Malls have the handle of “RobinsonsMallsOfficial” and it has 2.3K Subscribers (as of November 11, 2023). In addition, the videos and the ads displayed on it in relation to the impersonating channel are also SCAM. PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE TO THE SAID CHANNEL, THE VIDEOS, AND THEIR ADS RELATED TO IT.
7. A Facebook Ad from “Marshall Philippines” claiming that as part of their 27th Anniversary Offer, they are selling one of their products by up to 50% OFF on their advertiser’s website. IT IS NOT TRUE AND SCAM. As of now, the only official online shops related to Marshall is on Lazada’s LazMall and Shopee’s Shopee Mall. If you have seen any of their Facebook posts from “Marshall Philippines” and “Beyond the box” that uses their stolen Profile Photos and related graphics, including their related names which are trademarked by law, PLEASE DO NOT ENGAGE WITH IT BECAUSE ALL OF THEM ARE SCAM.
8. A Facebook Ad from “D.r Lizaa Ong’s Health And Nutritionn-G4” has claimed that a scam wellness product named “Navitas Braley Grass Powder” has been endorsed by Ivana Alawi. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT TRUE. There is no such news from Ivana Alawi that a Barley Grass Powder being sold from their advertiser’s website has been endorsed by the said celebrity. Thus, if you have seen one of those, that’s a FAKE NEWS and SCAM. Please only buy their well-known Barley Grass Powder brands online thru various authorized stores on Shopee and Lazada. You will be assure that once you’ve bought one of their official and authorized online shops on Shopee and Lazada, it will be safe, effective, and approved by the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines.
9. A Facebook Post as published by the name of “John Ernest” has claimed that TVJ (Tito, Vic and Joey) will be moved from TV5 to GMA very soon. IT IS NOT – There is no such news from TVJ Productions, Inc, TV5 Network, and GMA Network that TVJ (Tito, Vic and Joey) will be moving from TV5 to GMA. If you have seen one of those claims that they will be moving to GMA or any other networks as mentioned, it is FALSE and MISLEADING.
10. An another Facebook Post as published by the same account has claimed that Dennis Antenor Jr. will be moved from Aliw Broadcasting Corporation to DWPM, while Peter Musngi will also be moved from ABS-CBN to DWIZ and ALIW Channel 23. IT IS NOT. There is no such news from Mediaserbisyo Corporation, Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, and ABS-CBN Corporation that various on-air voiceovers will be moved from various TV/Radio Networks. Thus, all claims like these are considered FALSE and MISLEADING. 

If you have seen any of these claims like the ones above we’ve mentioned above, THAT IS FALSE AND MISLEADING. In addition, for the scam ads, we urge you NOT TO VISIT THEIR ADS if you have seen one of those or someone has referred you to buy one as these products are SCAM. If you are planning to buy them, please ONLY TRUST THEIR OFFICIAL ONLINE MERCHANT/STORE’s PAGES so you can be assured that they are 100% LEGIT and AUTHENTIC.

Within the period of November 6 to 10, 2023, the DRPS PHCA has measured the number of TV Ads has broadcast during ABS-CBN’s FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5), and GMA’s Black Rider on GMA. All of the TV Ad listings during these shows can also be found on our website’s TV Ad Listings page, as well as on DRPS PHCA’s Facebook, Instagram and DRPS PHCA TV Ad Listings X (formerly Twitter) Account.

For Black Rider, during the premiere episode of the said series on GMA, they have aired 35 TV Ads. For the November 10, 2023 episode, it aired 31 TV Ads. Overall, they have aired 149 TV Ads.

​​While for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, during the November 6, 2023 of the series on Kapamilya Channel, they have aired 75 TV Ads, and 61 TV Ads on A2Z/TV5. For the November 10, 2023 episode, it aired 71 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel and 48 TV Ads on TV5. Overall, they have aired 338 TV Ads on Kapamilya Channel, 264 TV Ads on TV5, and 164 TV Ads on A2Z (on the days where PBA Season 48 Live Broadcasts are not broadcasting).

For the November 6 2023 episode, during the premiere night of Black Rider on GMA, GTV and PINOY HITS, it has been voted by 17.2% of their viewers for Kantar Media and 12.1% for Nielsen.

Although the said day was an action packed night for Ruru Madrid, Coco Martin’s FPJ’s Batang Quiapo was still a very big win in terms of TV Ratings. That means, it has been voted by 24.4% of their viewers as based on Kantar Media Report, and 15.5% for Nielsen NUTAM Report.

For the November 9, 2023’s episode, in terms of Nielsen NUTAM Report, For FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, it has been voted by 15.1% of their viewers vs. Black Rider’s 12.6%, as based on Nielsen NUTAM Media Research. For Kantar Media Report, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo is also  voted by 23.3% of their viewers compared to Black Rider’s 18.6%.

The number of TV Ads of these shows are counted by DRPS PHCA. The TV Ratings are based on Nielsen NUTAM and Kantar Media Reports, all are combined ratings of GMA, GTV and PINOY HITS for Black Rider and Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5 and CINEMO! for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

Do you know that today, November 11, 2023, was the day when Stephanie Jordan turns 18? Then we’ve greeted her on our Facebook and Instagram Accounts!

Don’t know about her? Well, Stephanie was known for a The Voice Kids Season 2 Contestant, as coached by Lea Salonga. She was firstly appeared on TV way back in June 13, 2015 on the said singing reality show franchise.

On March 16, 2022, three days after Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10’s Teen Edition was premiered, she (along with Paolo Alcantara) was named as the Teen Kumunity Housemate ni Kuya, monikered as “The Free Spiriteen Voice of Cebu”.

During the time when the said reality show franchise was on-air, she was fall in love with Dustine Mayores, which was also known as Dustphan. The trend continued online until one day in July 2022, citing that their OFC Account (X/DustPhan_OFC) said that “it is in respect to Dustine and Stephanie’s chosen career paths”.
