Featured Article: DRPS One Channel ends 2025 with 60,000 subscribers and an all-time high, whole-year viewership

DRPS Philippine Commercial Archives (DRPS PHCA) made a historic year-end for its flagship online video property, DRPS One Channel, as the YouTube Channel reached more than sixty thousand subscribers, days ahead of 2026, and an all-time high viewership of 39,582,636 in 2025 alone (covering from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025), which is 11,384,272 higher than the previous overall viewership for the entire 2024, which was 28,198,364.
The DRPS One Channel has been posting TV Commercials and Digital Ads in the Philippines since August 11, 2019, when the first video was uploaded to the YouTube Channel. On January 27, 2021, the channel became part of the DRPS Philippine Commercial Archives upon its foundation, alongside the DRPS Two Channel. It also delivered political advertisements before and during the campaigning period of each election in the Philippines, starting in 2021, and has continued to do so in 2022, during the campaigning period.
And because 2025 was also the time when campaigning happened for the Midterm Polls, the DRPS One Channel delivered everything during that period, whenever the campaign ads were shown on television, and in turn, 898,173 online video views were accumulated across all of the political ad videos posted during the campaigning period (February 11, 2025, to May 10, 2025).
By the end of the year (from the start of campaigning on February 11, 2025, to December 31, 2025), all of the campaign ad videos on DRPS One Channel had reached 1,477,106 views. The top videos of these campaign ads for each candidate or party-list group during that period include those of Pia Cayetano, Ramon Bong Revilla Jr., Lito Lapid, ACT-CIS Party-list, Bong Go, Imee Marcos, Bato dela Rosa, Benhur Abalos, among many others. The channel accumulated an immense number of video views each month in 2025, with 4,034,802 within the whole month of December.
Since December 30, 2022, the DRPS One Channel has been posting TV and Digital ad content 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It has continued doing so uninterrupted for three years, especially during election campaigns. The channel now has 141,549,034 views and 60.3 thousand subscribers as of January 10, 2026.
PBB Gen 11: Kai as Ice on ROJA and Kolette as Young Liezel on What Lies Beneath, now on Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2

If you’ve just read this blog post, and you’re seeing a new set of TV Shows on TV5’s primetime block, then that means your favorite ABS-CBN Shows that feature some of the Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemates, like ROJA and What Lies Beneath, along with FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, ASAP, and Your Face Sounds Familiar, are no longer seen on TV5 as of January 1, 2026, following the move to ALLTV2, under the “Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2” brand, which launched a day after.
But fret not, because if you flip to Channel 2 or rescan your digital set-top boxes to find ALLTV2 (including A2Z), you’ll be able to catch some of the action-packed episodes of ROJA and more grieving revelations in What Lies Beneath – starring Kai Montinola as Ice, and Kolette Madelo as Young Liezel. Both of these shows are among the top shows on Netflix and on iWant today (yes, ROJA is in the Top 3 and What Lies Beneath is in the Top 2 on iWant Philippines), with a peak concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live (for the episode aired yesterday, January 5, 2026) of 541,446 (ROJA) and 222,313 (WLB), respectively.
For ROJA, the series promises more high-stakes action and shocking plot twists as Liam (Donny) and Olsen (Kyle), along with Luna (Maymay Entrata), join forces with the police and fight tooth and nail to escape from the heavily guarded La Playa Roja resort, which is being held hostage by hostage-takers.
Along with the ongoing siege, more thrilling revelations will also unfold among the victims as the feud between husband and wife, Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) and Greta (Lorna Tolentino), intensifies when dark secrets from their past begin to surface – hinting at a possible love triangle involving Wendy (Janice De Belen), Greta’s good friend and Olsen’s mother. With this new development, suspicions will also arise regarding the true identity of Olsen’s father.
Mounting problems will also cause emotional turmoil for Greta, as her own son Liam questions her true motives when he catches her in a secret conversation over the phone with an unidentified individual.
On the other hand, the leader of the hostage-takers, Emil (Joel Torre), will face his own problems. For one, he will do everything in his power to get revenge on Magnus for dumping his daughter Ayen (Yassi Pressman) after their whirlwind affair. He will also have to devise a solution when his own men attempt to surrender to the authorities.
As the number of deaths continues to increase, can Liam and Olsen find a way to survive? How will they face the bombshell revelations that are about to unfold?
For What Lies Beneath, weeks of speculation finally come to an explosive end as the identity of “Bana”—the mysterious figure mentioned in Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) heartbreaking love letter—is finally revealed, unlocking a powerful and unexpected girl-love (GL) storyline that reshapes the search for her killer.
In a revelation that left viewers stunned, Liezel (Mary Joy Apostol) confesses that she is Bana—the woman Louisa loved. The truth comes out following a heated confrontation involving Beth (Charlie Dizon), Erica (Kaila Estrada), Mel (Sue Ramirez), Alice (Janella Salvador), Angelo (Marlo Mortel), and Ryan (Yves Flores)—after questions arise over how Louisa’s letter ended up in Angelo’s possession.
Liezel’s confession pulls back the curtain on a secret romance marked by fear, sacrifice, and forbidden love. She opens up about her relationship with Louisa and their dream of leaving Amurao together after graduation—plans that are tragically derailed when her father, Pastor Samuel, discovers their relationship. His chilling ultimatum—to end things or risk Louisa’s life—casts a dark shadow over the events leading to Louisa’s death. As the emotional weight of the GL reveal reverberates, the mystery deepens.
Are the MABELs finally closing in on the real killer? Is Angelo hiding something—or does Pastor Samuel’s role go far beyond what anyone imagined? Furthermore, several social media posts are now talking about Mutya Orquia and Kolette Madelo’s scenes in What Lies Beneath. Kolette Madelo plays the role of Liezel’s younger counterpart.
Catch Kai Montinola in ROJA and Kolette Madelo with Dingdong Bahan and Patrick Ramirez in What Lies Beneath, all on Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2. If you’ve missed them on-air because TV5 is no longer airing Kapamilya shows as of January 2, 2026, you may need to rescan your digital set-top boxes to find ALLTV2 on DTT, available on ISDB-T RF 16 in Mega Manila.
To rescan your digital set-top box, press the “Scan” button on your remote control and confirm your action. Rescanning may take a while, but if you can’t find ALLTV2’s digital signal in your area, you may need to reposition your digital antenna until you receive a better signal. These shows are also available for viewing on A2Z and via Pay TV providers via the Kapamilya Channel.
You can also stream these shows online through Kapamilya Online Live, available on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel and Facebook Page (in select areas of Asia, Oceania, and Europe), through Netflix (72-hour advanced streaming available), and through iWant (48-hour advanced streaming available). For our Kaunforgettabolabolabols abroad, you can watch them on TFC (available on Pay TV and via IPTV).
Entertainment: TV Ratings following ABS-CBN shows on ALLTV2, SRR Evil Origins, now on its 3rd week

It’s almost a week after the ABS-CBN shows were moved to ALLTV2 from TV5, following a licensing agreement with AMBS. At the same time, TV5 now airs Carlo J. Caparas’ Totoy Bato as its replacement for the former timeslot of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo on the TodoMAX Primetime Singko block. GMA continued to compete with Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre, which premiered last June 2025.
According to an online post from PEP.ph (through PEP Troika), based on a Nielsen NUTAM Report, Sang’gre is voted for by 7.5% of viewers on GMA-7 alone. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo is voted with a combined rating of 6.7%, comprising a 5.6% rating of Kapamilya Channel (on Pay TV) and A2Z (on-air), and 1.1% on ALLTV2. Adding these numbers for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’s TV Ratings would result in a total of 6.7%. Additionally, Totoy Bato on TV5 received a 3.8% rating. Note that in the making of this post, these ratings are based on the same timeslot (20:00) and on preliminary/overnight data, and they do not include ratings for the delayed airing of Sang’gre (on GTV).
On January 5, 2026, the TV Ratings for Sang’gre were significantly increased on GMA by a small percentage of 7.6%, which is 0.1% higher than on January 2, 2026. It is comparable to other shows in the 20:00 timeslot, such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which has a 6.4% rating (A2Z’s 4.3% + Kapamilya Channel’s 2.1%), and Totoy Bato, which has a 2.7% rating (TV5).
On January 6, 2026, Sang’gre rose its TV ratings by 0.3% from the previous day on GMA, which had a rating of 7.9%. However, for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and Totoy Bato, their ratings dropped lower, reaching 5.8% (A2Z’s 4.2% + Kapamilya Channel’s 1.6%) and 1.7% (TV5), respectively. For Sanggang Dikit For Real, it had an aggregated TV Rating of 7.9% (combined GMA’s same timeslot airing and GTV’s delayed airing), compared to Roja’s 3.1% on A2Z and Kapamilya Channel.
When ASAP began airing on ALLTV2 as a live broadcast on January 4, 2026, alongside A2Z and Kapamilya Channel, it received a TV Rating of 0.8%. However, its competitor, All-Out Sundays, got a higher rating of 2.4%, which is a difference of 1.6%. ASAP aired a live show (for the first time in 2026) with the “Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2” station ID broadcast at the beginning of the show for the first version, and before the first commercial break gap for the second version.
On online streaming, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo retains its unbeatable state in Peak Concurrent Viewers, because the episode aired last January 2, 2026, when “Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2” debuted, was seen by about 519.5 thousand people online, compared to Sang’gre’s 75 thousand and Totoy Bato’s 1.6 thousand (approximate numbers).
The concurrent viewers for the following days increased to 566.4 thousand for the episode aired on January 5, 2026, then to 570.5 thousand on January 6, 2026, and then dropped to 559.4 thousand for the most recent episode (January 7, 2026). Note that in the making of this post, these numbers of peak concurrent viewers are based on the data provided by ABS-CBN, through its YouTube Channel, via Kapamilya Online Live.
For Roja, although it is among the top local dramas on Netflix and on iWant in the Philippines, it achieved an all-time high concurrent viewership record on Kapamilya Online Live, initially with 541.4 thousand viewers for the episode aired on January 5, 2026. This number increased slightly to 549.6 thousand on January 6, 2026. The numbers increased relatively in the following episode, on January 7, 2026, to 566.9 thousand, marking the most current all-time high concurrent viewership record to date.

Furthermore, for Filipino horror film fans, after eleven years since the last installment of Regal Entertainment’s horror film franchise “Shake, Rattle & Roll” premiered as an MMFF entry film (Shake, Rattle & Roll XV from 2014), and after over two years since the previous season of the film (as a non-entry film) entitled “Extreme” (released November 29, 2023) released in cinemas, the latest iteration of SRR, which is called “Evil Origins”, was premiered last Christmas Day 2025.
The film drew record crowds and sold-out box office when it premiered on December 25, 2025, and was awarded Best Visual Effects (under Santelmo, Inc.) at the 51st MMFF’s Gabi ng Parangal, held on December 27, 2025, at Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City, along with seven nominations linked to the film.
More people reacted positively to the film, mostly the “2025” episode, which stars JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith, Dylan Yturralde, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Althea Ablan, Sassa Gurl, Karina Bautista, Arkin Lagman, Alex Calleja, Manilyn Reynes, and Kaila Estrada. Moviegoers of the film have spoken, saying it was a “must-watch” movie of the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival. You can’t watch this horror film by yourself, right?
Regal Entertainment and the production team behind the film extend their heartfelt gratitude to those who have seen this horror film, especially the fans of each episode’s stars (1775, i.e., Carla Abellana, Janice de Belen, Loisa Andalio, Ysabel Ortega, Ashley Ortega, Elijah Alejo, Ara Mina, and Arlene Muhlach, and 2050, i.e., Richard Gutierrez, Ivana Alawi, Manilyn Reynes, Dustin Yu, Matt Lozano, Celyn David, Sarah Edwards, Maika Rivera, Raven Rigor, Angelica Lao, and Shecko Apostol).
Regal Entertainment considers SRR: Evil Origins a success due to the production quality, overall performances of the film’s cast, and, among many other reasons, that the “Shake, Rattle & Roll” franchise has to offer. The film production company will remain committed to providing more high-quality Filipino films in the future, especially in 2026.
To date (as of January 8, 2026), the horror film is still showing across over a hundred cinemas nationwide. The 51st Metro Manila Film Festival will run from December 25, 2025, until January 14, 2026. It had grossed over PHP 110 million since its premiere – the second-highest-grossing film among the eight other entries in the 51st MMFF. SRR: Evil Origins is directed by Shugio Praico for the “1775” (past) segment, Joey de Guzman for the “2025” (present) segment, and Ian Loreños for the “2050” segment.
Furthermore, as what the people saw on the premiere day of the film, JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, who are among the cast of the movie for the “2025” segment (respectively played as James and DJ Elle), and known as ex-housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 (2024), will also be part of the upcoming film titled “IRL”. Like “Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins”, the film was also produced by Regal Entertainment, and it is co-produced with Project 8 Projects.
Shake, Rattle & Roll Evil Origins is rated R-13 (only people aged 13 years old and above can watch this film) by the MTRCB.
