Is your PC or Laptop runs on Windows 10? If yes, then Microsoft is urging it’s users to upgrade to Windows 11 as Windows 10 support will soon to end by next week, October 14, 2025. Once that date has passed, they will no longer provide free Windows Updates, technical assistance, or security patches against viruses, malware, and others.

If they are interested to upgrade their compatible PC to Windows 11, they can access it through their PC Settings, or if their PC is not compatible for installation due to CPU, RAM, and TPM limitations, they can buy or build a new PC with components that is compatible for installing Windows 11.

Consumers and businesses can enroll to the Extended Security Update (ESU) Program at any time, and pricing may vary depending on the number of PCs or if Windows 10 is for personal or for business use. This program will let their Windows 10 systems supported even after the October 14, 2025 EOL date, which will install only include most critical and important security updates via Windows Update.

Consumers can enroll to the Windows 10 ESU Program for the price of USD 30.00 or redeem it with 1,000 Microsoft Rewards Points. They can also enroll to the program for free, if they are syncing their PC’s settings. The Consumer ESU Program enrollment will run until October 13, 2026 for users running Windows 10 Version 22H2.

Businesses can also enroll to the Windows 10 ESU Program for the tiered, per-device price of USD 61.00 for the first year (beginning this November 2025), then USD 122.00 for the second year, and finally, USD 244.00 for the third and final year, and can be purchased through their Volume Licensing Program. For Education customers, the Windows 10 ESU price is at USD 1.00 for Year 1, USD 2.00 for Year 2, and USD 4.00 for Year 3.
