Apl.de.ap celebrates Filipino heritage with PPP EP

This is my first solo EP apart from the Black Eyed Peas. I wanted to make sure it represented who I am as a Filipino, and I dedicate it to my home country, the Philippines. This EP comes from my love for the Philippines, with songs that hopefully will inspire and empower every Filipino. It’s a reminder for Filipinos of our own power as individuals and as a nation, and how we can make positive, lasting change in our lives and in the lives of others if we all come together and help one another. – Apl.de.ap
Global music icon and GMA Music artist Apl.de.ap returns to his roots with the release of his new EP, titled PPP, which stands for “Power to the Pilipino People”, featuring three tracks that mark a deeply personal chapter in his journey as an artist, serving as a love letter, a rally cry, and a testament of devotion to the country.
Rooted in Filipino values, culture, and language, the EP, released under GMA Music on all music platforms, weaves together three distinct thematic pillars, love, hope, and peace, across its carrier single. Why, one of the key tracks of the EP, is a collaboration between Apl.de.ap and OPM rockstar Bamboo. It addresses both the beauty and the heartaches of loving one nation, calling on leaders and citizens to stand up for integrity and positive change.
‘Why’ is a love letter to the country. And like any love story, there is heartbreak in what’s happening. It’s a shoutout to leaders and people in position, to care about the country and our countrymen – to act in the best interest of all and not just personal interests – and for Filipinos to not accept what’s happening and to stand up for their rights, Apl.de.ap explained.
Bamboo is a true Filipino artist that I respect so much. We have been wanting to do a collab, and I’m so happy this is the result that really showcases PPP. It’s a dream to be able to do this collaboration with him that shows our shared love for the country. It’s always a good time with my buddy Bamboo, he added about his collaboration with Bamboo.
The other two songs from the EP were Turn Around (featuring J. Rey Soul of Black Eyed Peas) and Pinoy United (featuring Datu Khomeini). Turn Around speaks of resilience through life’s steepest challenges, and Apl.de.ap shared that after going through a tough time with all the challenges we face as individuals and as a nation, we can continue to hope. I am singing this song for myself also to help me overcome life’s challenges.
Pinoy United, on the other hand, was an anthem inspired by the peace process and cultural richness of Mindanao, representing the southern regions’ voice and heritage.
My music always reflects who I am, with Filipino words, culture, and values incorporated into it. This EP is really about love, peace, and hope for the Filipino people, he concluded.
After Dui, Acoya brings romance to life in Hookup Hangover EP

‘Hookup Hangover’ is about that feeling when you meet someone and get so caught up in the moment that you forget to think about what happens next. – Acoya
ABS-CBN Music International artist and Los Angeles-based Filipino-Dutch singer-songwriter Acoya, born and raised in San Francisco, captures the intoxicating rush of attraction and the emotional aftermath of modern romance with his five-track EP, Hookup Hangover, following the release of his debut single, Dui.
The EP blends contemporary pop and rock-and-ballad with intimate storytelling, following the journey of one unforgettable night, from the excitement of an unexpected connection to the bittersweet realization that some feelings linger long after the moment has passed.
I wanted to capture everything that comes with that experience—the excitement, the chemistry, the vulnerability, and waking up the next morning realizing that maybe it meant more to you than you expected. Each song represents a different part of that night, and together, they tell a story that I think a lot of people can relate to, Acoya shared.
The songs in the EP, such as Rendezvous, Runaway, Love Song, Hookup Hangover, and his debut single, Dui, create a cinematic narrative exploring infatuation, desire, vulnerability, and the complexities of fleeting relationships. Dui was the first track on the EP, which captures the intoxicating feeling of falling for someone.
Also on the EP were Rendezvous, a flirtatious encounter filled with anticipation; Runaway, an adrenaline-fueled escape driven by impulsive attraction; Love Song, a mood-shifting track that has a spontaneous connection begin to develop into something more meaningful; and Hookup Hangover, which explores the emotional aftermath of a fleeting romance and the realization that moving on isn’t always as easy as expected.
Earlier, Acoya appeared as a special guest performer for BINI’s Signals World Tour in Rohnert Park and San Diego.
Cebuano singer-songwriter Jericho Streegan releases new song Jacket

I don’t know exactly how I’m gonna make this work. What I know is I don’t wanna wake up five years, ten years later down the line and realize I never gave myself a chance. So, after a long time of back-and-forth, I’m here now. I left everything back home, and I came here for music. – Jericho Streegan
On October 23, 2026, Cebuano-singing ABS-CBN Music-Tarsier Records singer-songwriter Jericho Streegan dropped his latest single, Jacket, following his relocation to Metro Manila to further pursue his music career, and as part of his upcoming EP album, Malabo, coined from his docuseries’ title.
For the longest time, I have known that I want music to be my life. I want to wake up and write. I want to wake up and produce music, record, and play live shows, Jericho shared how he describes his lifelong passion for music, as seen in the first episode of his Malabo, titled “What happens when you finally bet on yourself”.
Jericho began his musical journey at the age of three, singing at school events and listening to his mother’s collection of music. At 12, he taught himself to play the guitar, then writing songs inspired by his thoughts and emotions three years after. In 2020, his songwriting talent gained recognition when he won the Visayan songwriting competition Daig Bisaya for his own song Unta.
Jericho previously released his songs, Back To You, Shine, and Unsa’y Gibati, released under the ABS-CBN Music-backed record label Tariser Records.
Ex-YGIG member Alexei Claire debuts with Girl Of Your Dreams under Tarsier Records

I started a journey towards my dream as an innocent, passionate young girl. I was confident that I would be resilient and strong enough. Well, little did I know, I started losing myself to be who people wanted me to be. I started chasing other people’s dreams. I have had enough of their expectations. I have had enough of their judgment. And I am done destroying myself to fit in. – Alexei Claire
Former YGIG member and now ABS-CBN Music-Tarsier Records singer-songwriter Alexei Claire reclaims her identity and dismantles the pressure of living up to people’s expectations with the release of her debut single, Girl Of Your Dreams, written by her and co-produced with Jameson Tenorio and BGYO member Nate Porcalla.
She began her music career as a member of the P-Pop girl group YGIG before she left a year ago and later appeared with Kyler Chua and Zeke Abella in a music video for Bughaw, popularized by another Tarsier Records artist, Maki. Through its message of self-acceptance, encouraging to let go of the need to become someone else’s ideal and embrace who they truly are.
