BINI debuts at the 2026 Summer Sonic in Japan
A few months after their Coachella debut, the Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, is holding several North American tours for their Signals World Tour. The eight-member group also brought Filipino music to Japanese BLOOMs recently at the Expo 70 Commemorative Park in Osaka, Japan, for the 2026 Summer Sonic Music Festival.
The Japanese annual music festival is held over one weekend in August within two major regions of Japan, in Osaka and in Tokyo, and features several major artists within that country and elsewhere in the world, including BINI, SB19, and Filipino-Japanese singer Ena Mori, for the 2026 edition.
BINI will also be set to deliver the voice of the Nation’s Girl Group with an “Eyyy” factor to Tokyo on August 16, 2026, from 15:30 to 16:10 (Japanese Standard Time, UTC +9), taking place at the Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe. BLOOMs in Japan may watch the show via WOWOW On Demand.
Earlier, the girl group performed in Hawaii, Las Vegas (Nevada), Los Angeles, Rohnert Park, and San Diego (California) for the BINI Signals World Tour. The next North American stops for their Signals World Tour will take place in August, including in Vancouver (August 18), Calgary (August 21), Edmonton (August 22), Winnipeg (August 24), Toronto (August 27), and Brooklyn (August 28).
They also received four nominations at the 39th Awit Awards, including Best Performance by a Group and Best Pop Recording for Shagidi, Best R&B Recording for Katabi, and Best Global Collaboration for Blink Twice, featuring Indonesian singer Agnez Mo.

Just more than a month before his album launch, Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition Kapuso 2nd Big Placer and GMA Sparkle actor Will Ashley, known for The Secrets of Hotel 88, Love You So Bad, Bar Boys After School, and upcoming 52nd MMFF Entry Film Amir, has released his own debut single, Paborito, under the ABS-CBN Star Music label StarPop, serving as the first glimpse of his upcoming album, Liham.
Co-composed with Maki and label head Roque Santos, the heartfelt pop track captures the excitement of falling for someone special and the desire to hold on to a love that feels worth keeping. Will Ashley will soon deliver this debut single and his upcoming album Liham at the SM North EDSA Skydome, scheduled for September 20, 2026.

Primera Kontrabida Gladys Reyes debuts in her own nickname-titled single under StarPop
Seasoned actress-host and “Primera Kontrabida” Gladys Reyes steps into the recording scene with the release of her novelty pop song inspired by the iconic roles she played in the past, titled Primera Kontrabida, released under ABS-CBN Music label StarPop.
Composed by the ABS-CBN Music CCO Head Jonathan Manalo and co-produced by StarPop label head Roque Santos, it is a fun and campy anthem celebrating her enduring mark as the Primera Kontrabida in showbiz and an artist from the ABS-CBN talent agency arm Star Magic, reminding them that the true evil exists beyond the screen, in the form of dishonesty, manipulation, and greed.
Earlier, the Primera Kontrabida appeared as a houseguest of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, back in February 2026. She also performed the song live for the first time at the “Primera Kontrabida Sings” event held on August 1, 2026, at the Riser Lounge.
As a Primera Kontrabida in Philippine Entertainment, StarPop teased the music drop with photos of her most famous villainous characters, including Betsy in Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes, Mayet in And The Breadwinner Is, Salve in Here Comes the Groom, and Clara in Mara Clara. She recently played Hazel Capristrano-Cruz in a 2025 GMA Afternoon Prime drama series, Cruz vs. Cruz.
