Nameless Kids teams up with Cesca for playful pop track Mental
Original Pinoy Music indie band Nameless Kids collaborates with singer-songwriter Cesca for a playful pop track about the messy feelings that come with losing someone and becoming fixated on the person they’re dating next, in Mental, a follow-up single to their previous releases Temporary, Sinungaling, and Kuha Mo Na, which will also be part of their upcoming album release.
Written by band member Nhiko Sabiniano and Cesca during a songwriting camp in Davao back in 2024, the song captures the all-too-familiar experience of struggling to move on and wondering who has taken their place. It also turns post-breakup obsession into something lighthearted and relatable, as it features a catchy pop sound and a cheeky take on heartbreak,
Nameless Kids debuted during the COVID-19 pandemic with their single, Outlaws, and has steadily built a following with their distinct indie sound and heartfelt songwriting through their debut EP, Shows Out The Door, in 2021, followed by Sayo (Ang Mundo) and Gabi, which achieved over three million streams on Spotify, and their first album, Manila In Bloom (2023), featuring Hotel Runs and Bukas Na Lang.
Cesca, the singer-songwriter who collaborated with the band for the single, carved her own space in the OPM scene with her soft melodies and heart-wrenching lyrics, including Lovesick – Pagmahalasakit. She later dropped her debut EP, Travel, in 2022, which has achieved more than 20 million streams on Spotify.
Cesca was also known for her sophomore EP Balse Ng Gabi, featuring a song collaborated on with hit singer-songwriter Maki on the title track, and returning singles I’m Nilalamig and Lovesick (Mas Pinasakit).

Canadian-based StarPop singer-songwriter and filmmaker Angelica “Majarlica” Tagadtad, born in Quezon City, transforms a private diary entry into an introspective R&B-soul track that makes confidence in vulnerability about mistakes, lessons, and healing in her new single Romantiko.
Written and produced by herself and supervised by label head Roque Santos, it reflects on the experiences that shape a person’s understanding of love. What began as a personal reflection eventually became a song that celebrates growth, healing, and becoming ready for the kind of love one hopes to receive.
The artist made her mark as a singer-songwriter beyond her artistry and filmmaking, allowing her to write songs for other artists, including Kapamilya actresses Belle Mariano and Kai Montinola, and Beauty Queen Michelle Dee. She has also shared the stage with some of the well-loved OPM acts during a Canadian show for Parokya ni Edgar, Ben&Ben, and Itchyworms.
Majarlica began releasing her own music in 2023 with singles Siguro, Patawarin Mo Ako, Miss Philippines Earth Quezon City 2021 advocacy song Kalikasan, and Royalty, her first single under StarPop, released in April 2026.

Emerging StarPop singer-songwriter Shawn Crab channels inspiration and courage into a youth single aimed at Generation Z that draws strength from the people who matter most, titled Ocean, written by herself and produced by StarPop label head Roque Santos.
The uplifting love song uses the vast and mysterious ocean as a metaphor for life and its many unknowns. Through its heartfelt lyrics, Ocean encourages listeners to keep moving forward despite fear and uncertainty, finding courage in the love of the people who make life’s journey worth taking.
Shawn shared that she is steadily carving her own path as an artist, with music reflecting her emotions, experiences, and perspective on growing up at the age of 17. American actress-comedienne and daughter Cheena Crab moved to the Philippines to pursue her musical dreams and develop her passion for songwriting and performing.
Her journey began when she started learning piano at the age of 10. By 11, she had already begun writing her own songs, influencing various international icons, including Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, and Clairo, continuing to persue her exploration into her own, and began independently in 2023 with the release of This Fall, I’m Falling Hard and Is it too late?, followed by Love Has Come My Way, Labo, and Tago, when she became part of StarPop a year ago.
