PBB Gen 11: JMFyang-led Almost Us, hits PHP 23-M in the first week, JMFyang and Kai on Hot Takes

Just about a week after the release of the Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemates JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith-led Almost Us, a film directed by Dan Villegas, and produced by Regal Entertainment and Project 8 Projects, which received positive reviews on the Internet, will continue to show across more cinemas in the Philippines, on its second week.

With their continued support for RR and Janine, the respective roles of JM and Fyang of the film, it reached over PHP 23 million (USD 374,099.32) in movie gross sales in the first week alone, from May 6 to 12, 2026. The film also reached over PHP 5 million in sales on the opening day (May 6, 2026). As of this writing, Almost Us is currently showing across 127 cinemas nationwide.

In a report from Team JMFyang Official and Regal Entertainment on their respective social media accounts, it was said that the tickets for Almost Us in several cinemas across SM Supermalls have sold out.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN will offer more fun and candid conversations with the launch of its newest weekly online podcast, available for streaming on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of ABS-CBN Entertainment, Hot Takes, which features their most unfiltered standpoints on pop culture, Filipino life, and relevant issues.

The digital show is hosted by two smart and fearless women, PUSH editor-in-chief Gary Ann Lastrilla and digital head of social media for publishing Krish Ramos, who dig deeper into celebrities’ takes on industry norms with real-life experiences.

Some of the ex-housemates of PBB Gen 11, including JMFyang and Kai Montinola, have appeared in the said latest podcast, which has generated more than a million online video views. JM and Fyang shared their takes on reality shows, while singer-actress Kai shared her two cents on the love team culture in the Philippines.

Apart from JMFyang and Kai, The Alibi star Sofia Andres shared her candid take on attempts to pit women against each other, while Kapamilya star Charlie Dizon weighed in on the double standards faced by female celebrities in the showbiz industry.

Meanwhile, content creator Daniel Laudit, known as Mentor Daniel, expressed his sentiments on influencers voicing their opinions on issues. Other celebrities, including What Lies Beneath star Jake Cuenca, Coach Vee, JinHo Bae, and many others, will also appear in the coming episodes with their juicy and uncensored conversations.

Hot Takes releases its new episodes on Thursdays at 9:00 (Philippine Standard Time) on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube and Facebook pages.

JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, alongside Kanata Tapia (as a guest character for episode 3), will also appear in a Prime Video original series, Love Is Never Gone, releasing its episodes twice every Friday at midnight (Philippine Standard Time). The said series was among the number one most-watched shows on Prime Video in the Philippines.
