PBB Gen 11: While PBB Collab 2.0 Big Night has a higher TV rating for 2/28, PBB Gen 11 remains undefeated

Mga Ka-Unforgettabolabolabol, we know that your favorite Pinoy Big Brother season for the decade of the 2020s, called Gen 11, retained its legacy for more than a year since it premiered on July 20, 2024, when the first fifteen housemates entered the house on that day. The final stage of the Big Night took place on October 26, 2024, where Fyang Smith was proclaimed the Big Winner of PBB Gen 11, with Kai Montinola, Kolette Madelo, and Rain Celmar clinching the 4th to 2nd Big Placer spots.

The Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 attracted approximately 2,267,662 viewers who watched it live via Kapamilya Online Live on the Facebook and YouTube accounts of the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel, marking this as the highest record in Peak Concurrent Viewers since its launch. Following this, according to data from Nielsen NUTAM for October 26, 2024, it had a combined TV rating of 10.7% (c. Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5).

On July 5, 2025, the Big Night of PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0 happened, where Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca were proclaimed Big Winner Duos of the edition. It achieved a 10.5% Nielsen NUTAM TV Rating and 1,435,183 combined Peak Concurrent Viewers during the broadcast of the said Big Night.

When the PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 opened the doors of the Big Brother house on October 25, 2026, the Big Night took place on February 28, 2026. It also featured PBB Gen 11 alums JM Ibarra, Fyang Smith, and Kai Montinola in the live show. It named Caprice Cayetano (Kapuso) and Lella Ford (Kapamilya) as the Big Winners of PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0.

If PBB Collab 1.0 achieved a 10.5% TV Rating for the Big Night, then the PBB Collab 2.0 had 10.8% – 0.1% higher than PBB Gen 11 Big Night, while it drove 1,527,059 in combined Peak Concurrent Viewers, still lesser than 2,267,662 from Gen 11. As a result, PBB Collab 2.0 was the highest-rated Pinoy Big Brother Big Night broadcast among the other editions of PBB that premiered in the 2020s.

While PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 was a non-regular edition of Pinoy Big Brother, including its predecessor, PBB Gen 11 retains its leadership in TV ratings among other regular editions. Other PBB regular editions include PBB Connect (a Gen 11 equivalent, except there are no duo or 2-in-1 housemates like DongPat and Joli-Gwen), which premiered in the fourth quarter of 2020, and PBB Kumunity Season 10 (featuring three separate editions – Celebrities, Adults, and Teens), which premiered in the fourth quarter of Q4 2021.

Earlier, before the Big Night happened, we supported some of the Kapamilya housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, who have appeared in any TV or online series that feature any of the housemates of PBB Gen 11, including Joaquin Arce and Miguel Vergara, whom the DRPS PHCA – PBB Gen 11 supported to become one of the Ultimate Eight group through Maya voting.

In the PBB Collab 2.0 Big Night, Miguel was declared as the 4th Kapamilya Big Placer, followed by Joaquin as the 3rd, and Krystal Mejes as the 2nd. Both Krystal and Joaquin appeared in an online series titled Tropang G.O.A.T., in which Kanata Tapia starred. Joaquin also appeared in a music video sung by Rain Celmar titled Pahuway. Miguel appeared as a guest character in What Lies Beneath, alongside Krystal, including some of the ex-housemates of PBB Gen 11, such as Dingdong Bahan, Patrick Ramirez, Kolette Madelo, and Jan Silva (guest character), who appeared in the Kapamilya TV Series.

For Kapamilya Ex-Housemates who appeared in PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, before they entered the house, Iñigo Jose appeared in two Kai Montinola-related offerings, including her Overthink music video and a TV series titled Roja.

PBB Gen 11 remains steadfast in its stance: Aba Ayos ang ating mga Unforgettabolabolabol New Gen Housemates ni Kuya, regardless of the edition of Pinoy Big Brother that has aired since then.
