The upcoming primetime series will also star Julia Montes.

Earlier, in a series of promotional plugs released by Dreamscape Entertainment, the ABS-CBN-led production company behind the series, loyal viewers wished the show a happy anniversary and thanked Tanggol for giving them all-out action, drama, joy, and inspiration throughout the past three years, which celebrated a week ago.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo was inspired by the original story of Regal Entertainment, Inc., broadcasts on the ABS-CBN Primetime block at 20:00 on the Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWant, which premiered on February 13, 2023. It also aired on TV5 from its premiere until the channel decided not to renew its partnership with ABS-CBN and move all of the primetime shows of the Kapamilya network, including ASAP and Your Face Sounds Familiar, to ALLTV2 on January 2, 2026.

On February 21, 2025, the series breached over a million in Peak Concurrent Viewers on Kapamilya Online Live, based on data from the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel, while it also flooded social media with its viral scenes and iconic lines, and it has also broken its own online viewership record multiple times.

The series made a mark in the hearts of Filipinos all over the country who religiously watched the series on multiple broadcast and online platforms, where viewers also followed the story of Tanggol when the series launched on ALLTV2 last January, while it is scheduled to air the finale episode on March 13, 2026.

But the action continues for Coco as he also announced that once FPJ’s Batang Quiapo ends on March 13, 2026, then Sigabo will premiere this March 16, 2026, taking over the 20:00 timeslot, after TV Patrol. It promises a mix of action, comedy, and romance that families will surely enjoy, ABS-CBN added. From 2015 until 2022, Coco Martin starred in a highly anticipated ABS-CBN Primetime Drama, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Coco expressed gratitude to the production crew and staff behind the series, as well as the actors and actresses who appeared in the series, and everyone who made FPJ’s Batang Quiapo possible for three years since the premiere.

He also expressed his appreciation to the viewers to join Tanggol in his one final battle for FPJ’s Batang Quiapo ahead of the “Ang Huling Laban ni Tanggol” subtitle until the end on Friday (March 13, 2026), and to not miss out on the premiere of Sigabo on the following Monday (March 16, 2026).

For the last three years, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo has competed intensively with some of the GMA shows aired on the same timeslot, including Mga Lihim ni Urduja, Voltes V: Legacy, Maging Sino Ka Man, Black Rider, Pulang Araw, Mga Batang Riles, Lolong Season 2, and the most recent Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre. When the series moved to ALLTV2 from TV5 on January 2, 2026, it also competed with Carlo J. Caparas’ Totoy Bato on TV5’s TodoMAX Primetime Singko block.

Furthermore, Kapamilya TV and Film stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, known for their recent digital series appearance in The Alibi on Amazon Prime Video, have announced four international shows in the United States and Canada, scheduled to take place between late April and early May 2026, as stated in a promotional post from ABS-CBN Global.

But ahead of their world tour in the US and Canada, viewers and fans of Kim and Paulo in the Philippines, especially abroad, may also experience the upcoming on-air premiere of the highly anticipated digital series on Amazon Prime Video, The Alibi, under the title of “Ang Buong Katotohanan”, the TV counterpart of the series.

This offering followed the success of its premiere online via Prime Video, which made the show the number one spot on the platform. This marks the return of Kim Chiu and Paulo Aveli, who are turning up the heat with an alternate ending and never-before-seen scenes for the TV version of their mystery-romance series, which will air on Kapamilya Channel, ALLTV2, and A2Z primetime block this March.

The series will delve deeper into the intriguing love affairs of Stella (Kim) and Vincent (Paulo), as well as the mystery surrounding the murder of Walter (Sam Milby), which will lead to shocking plot twists and revelations that were not yet shown on Prime Video.

Apart from the intrigue surrounding the storyline, “The Alibi” earned praise for KimPau’s daring characters. Among the most talked about scenes in the series was Kim’s sultry pole dance number while Paulo looked on with an alluring gaze.

The scandalous catfights between Kim and Sofia Andres, as well as the intense rivalry between Paulo and Sam, were also a hit among viewers.

The story centers on Stella, a seductive escort, and Vincent, the heir to the country’s most influential digital news empire. The two will get entangled in dark secrets when they conspire for Stella to pose as Vincent’s alibi after it was revealed that he is the prime suspect in a high-profile murder of his rival, Walter.

The series features a stellar cast that also includes John Arcilla, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Rafael Rosell, Robbie Jaworski, and Angelina Cruz. Onat Diaz, Jojo Saguin, and FM Reyes directed the series.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto vs. Sarah Discaya: Over the SOCE Anomaly

On February 19, 2026, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto filed a legal complaint against mayoral rival Sarah Discaya over the issues involving the Statement of Contributions and Expenditures filed by S. Discaya in relation to the 2025 National and Local Elections in the Republic of the Philippines, over election campaign overspending.

This follows as a result of violating Section 100 related to Section 262 of the Omnibus Election Code, amended by the Philippine Republic Act number 7199, and Perjury under Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code, and a similar violation filed by Mayor Vico Sotto for stating that she knowingly made material untruthful statements in her SOCE, which was executed under oath.

In his complaint, Mayor Vico Sotto stated that the maximum allowable campaign contributions and expenditure for Sarah Discaya’s mayoral race in the 2025 elections was PHP 1,391,655.00, while her SOCE only reflected a total expenditure of PHP 895,000.00 listed under the Stationery, printing, and distribution of printed materials relative to candidacy, without declaring as to the use for digital and outdoor advertisements.

Both V. Sotto and S. Discaya ran for mayor in the City of Pasig, Metro Manila, in the 2025 Elections. Sotto was voted by 351,392, while Discaya was voted by 29,591 of Pasigueños. In the 2025 polls, about 463,885 voters are registered in Pasig City, Metro Manila.

In the case of the affidavit complaint against Sarah Discaya, only three pesos (PHP 3.00) per registered voter is the maximum allowable campaign contributions and expenditures allowed by law, if the candidate is connected to a political party. Sarah Discaya is affiliated with the Unyon ng mga Gabay ng Bayan (Union of the People’s Guides) political party.

The screenshots of the political online advertisements for Discaya were attached to the affidavit complaint that Mayor Vico Sotto had filed, which is also a possible part of what Discaya had spent to promote her candidacy. The online advertisements that Mayor Sotto filed in the complaint were uploaded to the DRPS One Channel via YouTube, both of which were posted on March 28, 2025, and April 1, 2025, during the campaigning period for local candidates.

In the video ad of Discaya on the DRPS One Channel, as also stated in his complaint, the first video appeared to be professionally rendered. It would display a statement indicating whether the campaign ad was either paid for by Discaya or contributed to the candidate. The second video also displays the same statement as the first video, but Discaya paid for the ad, while it was paid by the Chicco Francisco family.

DRPS One Channel is the TV Ad Archive property of the DRPS Philippine Commercial Archives (DRPS PHCA). The DRPS PHCA reviewed another campaign video on the DRPS One Channel, related to Sarah Discaya, which was not disclosed in the complaint; however, her 30-second campaign ad was also broadcast on television.

Based on the source from where the 30-second ad was found for posting on the social media platforms of the DRPS One Channel (YouTube, Facebook, and X/Twitter), the Sarah Discaya campaign ad, both the 60-second and 30-second versions of the video, was shown on-air via A2Z last April 5, 2025, during the commercial breaks of the televised version of the 38th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television.

Mayor Vico Sotto, as his complaint stated, also discovered that out-of-home billboard advertisements publicized Discaya’s candidacy in various locations in Pasig. It also expressly states a disclosure that she paid for (Political Advertisement paid for and by Cezarah Rowena Cruz Discaya, with their address disclosed).

Mayor Vico Sotto summarized a report of lawful campaign expenditures for Sarah Discaya, which she disclosed as PHP 895,000.00 for stationery, printing, and distribution of printed materials related to candidacy. In contrast, the other expenditures, including travel expenses, political meetings and rallies, and the use of sound systems, lighting, and decorations for the rally, and ad placements for newspapers, radio, television, and other advertisements to promote the candidacy, including website and internet ad placements, are disclosed as PHP 0.00.

Sarah Discaya, who was arrested in Cebu for graft, was known for the controversy surrounding the flood control project in several areas of the Philippines.
