DRPS PHCA Free Newsletter (2/28 to 3/6): PBB Collab 2.0 The Big Night, happening tonight

For this week's featured article, PBB Collab 2.0 Big Night is happening tonight, joining with the season's ex-housemates, plus JMFyang, KaiKyle, Charlie, BGYO, and Cloud7.

Today is February 28, 2026, and the time has come as the Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 is happening tonight at 19:15 at the Crossroads Center, Mother Ignacia Avenue, Quezon City.

The Big Night will feature not only the ex-housemates and The Ultimate Eight of the season, but also some of the ex-housemates (alums, big placers, and big winners) from different editions of Pinoy Big Brother, including Fyang Smith (Big Winner), Kai Montinola (4th Big Placer), and JM Ibarra (Ex-Housemate) from Gen 11, Kyle Echarri from Kumunity Season 10, and Charlie Fleming from the previous PBB Celebrity Collab season. They will also feature P-Pop Groups BGYO and Cloud7 in the Big Night.

In the finale week of PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0, the Ultimate Eight of this season made a hot seat for some face-off questions through The Ultimate Tapatan, where they will answer several questions about their mantra (assigned in a task for 2026 resolutions), a question from the outside world, and several questions from the ex-housemates.

Bianca Gonzalez and Luiz Manzano hosted the face-off. The jury for their answers from each finalist is composed of the ex-housemates of PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0, including the recently evicted Carmelle Collado and Marco Masa. The jury will vote on each answer to a question based on which one is true or a lie.

And after the Ultimate Tapatan, the Ultimate Eight housemates will face off their final task, days ahead of the Big Night, with the presence of the Big Public Eye, where the housemates will read a comment from the outside world displayed on a plasma. The housemates will collect 40 white balls. These white balls will be used for their one-million-vote task, where all finalists will receive this amount of votes, in addition to the public votes from the Maya app.

However, when the Ninjas entered the Garden Area, from where these balls are collected, to a designated tray, they stole about four balls within the day. Following this, when Big Brother returned, the Ultimate Eight would perform another task to restore the four balls: within the one-hour window, they would move all 36 balls to the tray, and repeat the same process as before, but this time for 100 seconds. Afterwards, Big Brother told the Ultimate Eight that they had completed the task and would receive one million votes, credited to the current percentage of votes.

As stated in the mechanics for The Collab Twist of PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0, there will be two Big Winners for this edition, one for Kapuso and one for Kapamilya. It will have a group that will join in the Big Night, scheduled to take place tonight. The Ultimate Eight group comprises Kapamilya Big 4 (Lella Ford, Krystal Mejes, Joaquin Arce, and Miguel Vergara) and Kapuso Big 4 (Caprice Cayetano, Ashley Sarmiento, Heath Jornales, and Princess Aliyah).

Because The Ultimate Eight has formed through several Big Jump Challenges (Lella, Caprice, Krystal, and Ashley) and public voting (Joaquin, Miguel, Heath, and Princess), viewers of the show can vote for a Kapuso Big Winner and a Kapamilya Big Winner, without the 30-times-a-day per account limit (unlimited voting) on the Maya app.

The voting lines for the Big Night of PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 on the Maya app will end during the Big Night. To vote, open the Maya app, tap the PBB icon, select any of the eight finalists (one Kapuso and one Kapamilya) you want to proclaim as the Big Winner, and confirm your vote for as low as PHP 10 for 10 votes.

Ensure that your Maya wallet is ready for the unlimited voting by performing a cash-in at any partner stores or outlets, Maya Center, Linked Bank Accounts, Maya-to-Maya wallet transfers, InstaPay/PesoNet Bank Transfer (from another bank), Debit/Credit Cards, available Maya Easy Credit, available Maya Savings, or available Maya Crypto balances.

And because this is the unlimited power of voting for two Big Winners on PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0, check the account limits imposed on your Maya account (Daily and Monthly limits).

To see the limits of your Maya account before proceeding with your unlimited power to vote for your Big Winner/s with PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0, tap the account username, then Account Limits. It will display the remaining daily limit (resetting on the following day) and monthly limit (resetting on the first day of the month) for cash-in (card and Maya partners), send money (to other Maya users), and bank transfers via InstaPay.

The unlimited power of voting will only be done through the Save (BBS) tab, without the option to Evict (BBE), unlike the Big Night voting of the previous edition (PBB Collab 1.0), which has the option to Evict, with the results of that option announced in the live broadcast, but similar to PBB Gen 11, where the Big 4 of that edition, Fyang Smith, Kai Montinola, Kolette Madelo, and Rain Celmar, can have the unlimited power of voting for a Big Winner, in a way of BBS only. Maya (owned by Voyager Innovations) served as the official voting partner of Pinoy Big Brother from Gen 11 until Collab 2.0.

PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 will give away a total of PHP 4,000,000.00 in cash prizes for the Big Winner and the Big Placers of the edition, courtesy of Breeze Detergent, Colgate-Palmolive (the company behind Colgate and Palmolive Naturals), Centrum Advance, and Nescafé.

Find out who will be the next two Big Winners of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 Big Night, happening tonight at 19:15, airing Live via GMA, Kapuso Stream, iWant, and Kapamilya Online Live. PH Primetime TV: Last two weeks from March 2, 2026

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo and Roja, down to the last two weeks

Following the announcement by Coco Martin about the highly anticipated TV series, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, which premiered on ABS-CBN on February 13, 2023, will soon conclude with a final battle of Tanggol on March 13, 2026.

The series contributed to increasing its ratings when it aired on TV5, along with Kapamilya Channel and A2Z, and the move to ALLTV2 (from TV5) on January 2, 2026, as well as the continued rise of Peak Concurrent Viewership via Kapamilya Online Live on the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Channel, towards the one million mark in an episode aired on February 21, 2025.

It was not only that the series would deliver the finale episode on that day, but Dreamscape Entertainment, the ABS-CBN-owned production company behind FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, would also deliver even more intense action as characters attempt to survive the hostage-taking crisis in Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri-headlined Roja, which continued into the final three weeks of its run.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo is one of the most-watched primetime series on ABS-CBN, whether seen on air or online, and has recently received multiple awards on February 21, 2026, at the 1st Philippine Arts, Film, and Television Awards (PAFTA).

At the 1st PAFTA awards, the series was named the Best Drama Series, with stars Coco and TV and Film Actress Maris Racal also receiving the awards for Best Drama Actor and Best Breakthrough Performance, respectively.

ABS-CBN gave viewers a glimpse of its hard-hitting action scenes in an explosive trailer and cinematic first look stills, which feature a mix of do-or-die face-offs and emotionally-charged confrontations as Tanggol (Coco) confronts the ultimate battle of his life.

It depicts Tanggol in a series of blood-curdling encounters against his greatest enemy, Rigor (John Estrada), and how he storms into enemy territory at the city hall, rallying citizens behind him to dethrone the corrupt political clan of the Guerreros to claim his rightful position as mayor.  Viewers can also expect a heart-wrenching drama in one of the most emotional scenes in the series, as Tanggol’s best friends are forced into a life-threatening situation that may threaten to ruin their friendship forever.

FPJ’s Batang Quiapo airs on weeknights at 20:00 on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, ALLTV2, A2Z, and iWant. And because the series will soon conclude, it will be replaced with Sigabo on March 16, 2026. Similar to FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Sigabo also stars the Primetime King and Julia Montes.

And even then, if FPJ’s Batang Quiapo ends on March 13, 2026, then Roja will also end on that date, which airs on weeknights at 20:45 on the same on-air and online platforms as ABS-CBN mentioned previously. Additionally, subscribers of Netflix and iWant can have the chance to watch it in advance.

The network has also released a heart-pounding “final escape” trailer, giving viewers a sneak peek at the intensified fight scenes and emotional turmoil that Liam and Olsen will have to overcome as their principles are put to the test.

Liam (Donny) and Olsen (Kyle) will face their biggest threat as the war against the hostage-takers, led by Emil (Joel Torre), turns personal. Liam will confront a painful dilemma, whether to protect his mother, Greta (Lorna Tolentino), or allow justice to prevail, when he confirms that she is the true mastermind behind the La Playa Roja siege.

Olsen, on the other hand, will go head-to-head in an action-packed confrontation against his supposed father and hostage-taker Homer (Christian Vasquez). Meanwhile, Emil might be able to succeed in his long-awaited quest for revenge against the Roja family when he casually shoots Liam during a heated exchange.

The high-stakes final standoff will also reach greater heights as Liam and Olsen put their lives on the line, with the help of the police force, to save the remaining hostages that are trapped in a tunnel surrounded by explosives.

The series is set to release the finale episode on March 10, 2026, on Netflix, March 11, 2026, on iWant, and on March 13, 2026, on several on-air platforms. It will replace the TV Version of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino-headlined The Alibi: Ang Buong Katotohanan, on March 16, 2026.

Updates about Kanata Tapia of PBB Gen 11

Kanata Tapia celebrated her 18th birthday in a Jollibee Branch, marking the 60th anniversary of RNHS

In the past few days, we have seen social media posts about some of the Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemates. One example is the 18th birthday celebration of Kanata Tapia in a Jollibee branch on February 22, 2026, where she invited some of the ex-housemates and an artist, including Jollibee Endorser and Actor Joshua Garcia, UE Red Warriors Volleyball Player Dylan Yturralde, Singer and Actress Kolette Madelo, Star Hunt Academy Trainees Rain Celmar and Marc Nanninga, What Lies Beneath Guest Star Jan Silva, Ghosting Part 2 Guest Star JP Cabrera, and ASAP Performer and Actor Binsoy Namoca (that he documented her party in his video uploaded recently), to her party, following her 18th birthday on January 12, 2026.

The Rizal National High School, from which Kanata is studying as a Senior High School student, created a video greeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the school’s founding. However, did you know that Kanata was proclaimed as the 2024 Ms. Rizal NHS during the coronation night?

Months before Kanata Tapia (or otherwise known as Jane Rhea Jaravata Tapia) became a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11, she was a candidate for the 2024 Ms. Rizal NHS, which happened on April 26, 2024 (as a part of the 58th founding anniversary of the school), less than three months before PBB Gen 11 premiered (July 20, 2024), and that Kanata Tapia entered the house.

At the time it happened, Kanata, then 16, was a Grade 10 student. More than a year and a half later (as of February 2026), she is still studying at that school, even though she exited from the PBB House, or even though she was invited to some of the ABS-CBN-related events. However, citing that she was a Grade 12 student, this year would be her graduating year, as she would be completing Senior High School.

In terms of PBB Gen 11, Kanata was a housemate for about 21 days, when she was evicted on the 2nd Eviction Night held last August 10, 2024, along with co-housemate and Star Hunt Trainee Marc Nanninga. Following her PBB days, in 2025, she appeared in two music videos, Ako Na Sana (Jeri Violago) and Mahiyain (Arkin Lagman), and a digital series on iWant titled Tropang G.O.A.T., where she, along with the PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0 Ultimate Eight housemates Joaquin Arce and Krystal Mejes, appeared in the series.

Apart from Tropang G.O.A.T., she, Kanata, played the role of a vlogger named Kanachi (trivia: that was her nickname during and after her PBB star) in an EDukSINE AHD Short Film Festival titled Ang Palabas na Ito ay Hindi Para Sa’yo (transl. This Film is Not For You), where it won a Best Poster award and earned nominations for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

The upcoming Mr. & Ms. Rizal NHS 2026 coronation night happened recently on February 27, 2026. The candidates for the female candidates, under Ms. Rizal NHS 2026, are Alerie Saulong, Kaith Arillo, Katelyn Ularte, Cyanne Dimalaluan, Jillianne Marlinez, and Jozen Castañeda.

RNHS also thanked PBB Gen 11 alums Dylan Yturralde, Binsoy Namoca, and Brx Ruiz for their support of the 60th anniversary of its founding.
