For this week’s featured article of our newsletter, the PBB Collab 2.0 is down to the final two weeks, with some happenings at the PBB Hotel, the entry of the PBB Collab 1.0 ex-housemates, including Gladys Reyes.
Within the period of February 9 to 13, 2026, weeks ahead of the Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, scheduled to take place this February 28, 2026, we have seen the happenings of the PBB House transformed into a Hotel, where some of the ex-housemates of PBB Celebrity Collab 1.0, as well as TV and Film Actress, Gladys Reyes (dubbed as the Primera Kontrabida) have entered as houseguests within the week.
A day after the time when Lella Ford and Caprice Cayetano are proclaimed the finalists of this edition for the upcoming Big Night, the PBB House transformed into a Hotel called PBB Hotel. A tip box was placed in time for their second Big Jump Challenge happening in the coming days. The first hotel guest was Magui Ford, Lella’s sister, to celebrate her birthday at the house. Lella turned 20 years old on February 7, 2026.
On the following days, several ex-housemates from PBB Celebrity Collab Edition entered the hotel to promote their upcoming GMA Prime series The Secrets of Hotel 88, scheduled to premiere on March 2, 2026. They were Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca. Brent and Mika, dubbed as BreKa, are known as the Big Winner duos of PBB Collab 1.0. Before they entered the hotel, the housemates heard Mika’s newest single, Kasalanan, as their wake-up call.
On the following days, the other ex-housemates from the same edition of Pinoy Big Brother entered the hotel, including AZ Martinez, Ralph de Leon, and River Joseph, followed by Xyriel Manabat and Kira Balinger. Following Xyriel and Kira’s exit, another houseguest has entered the hotel, and that was Gladys Reyes, one of the Primera Kontrabida in the showbiz industry.
Upon the closure of the PBB Hotel, Big Brother announced that the tips given by these houseguests in the past few days when the Hotel was open would be used for their second Big Jump Challenge, which would be a head-to-head between all other housemates not part of The Ultimate Eight for the Big Night. This way, if one Kapuso and one Kapamilya, among the four housemates (who were not part of the Big 4 of each agency), win the challenge, they will join The Ultimate Eight for the Big Night, along with Caprice and Lella.
For the beginning part of their 2nd BJC, as a take-turns task, they will retrieve at least three blocks from the tip box and shoot them into the designated basket. If they get all 250 blocks, they will receive a weekly budget for the following week. The number of blocks will be based on their BJC, but if the block was shot at someone other than the one they shot (i.e., Housemate A shoots a block to a basket from Housemate B), the targeted housemate will have a point.
Earlier, in the first Big Jump Challenge, Lella Ford and Caprice Cayetano clinched a spot in The Ultimate Eight for the upcoming Big Night of PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0. For their Big Jump Challenge, to advance one Kapuso housemate and one Kapamilya housemate to The Ultimate Eight for The Big Night, there are two lanes that the housemates can choose from to transfer the two types of colored blocks.
The colored blocks can only be transferred using a single handle, on which they must stack the blocks upright. It is up to the housemates’ strategy how many blocks they can stack on each trip (by walking). At any time, they may switch to the blocks they want to transfer, but if the blocks fall, they must immediately return to the starting point.
There are also two types of transfer sticks: one for the white lane and another for the black lane. If they choose the white lane, they must stand the colored blocks upright on the table in the correctly marked positions, but they must be careful.
Because if any blue colored block topples and falls to the floor, it will be deducted from the total number of blocks that successfully stood on the table. If they choose the black lane, they have the opportunity to deduct points from their opponent. For every colored block they place in the box at the end, two colored blocks will be deducted from their opponent’s total score.
With that in mind, Lella Ford was the first Kapamilya housemate to take a spot in the Kapamilya Big 4 with -212 points (49 positive, -105 blue blocks, -78 from Joaquin Arce, the opposing Kapamilya housemate from the BJC). It is followed by Caprice Cayetano, who took a Kapuso Big 4 spot with -204 points (36 positive, -46 blue blocks, -97 from Marco Masa, the opposing Kapuso housemate from the BJC).

PBB Collab 1.0 ex-housemates star in The Secrets of Hotel 88, Mika Salamanca drops Kasalanan

Almost three years after the premiere of the GMA-ABS-CBN series “Unbreak My Heart,” the two competing TV networks in the Philippines team up with Star Creatives Television for their upcoming GMA Prime series, “The Secrets of Hotel 88,” which is among the upcoming teledrama offerings of 2026 on GMA Network.
The series is scheduled to premiere this February 23, 2026, exclusively via iWant, seven days ahead of the on-air premiere on GMA and GTV (by March 2, 2026, at 21:35, on GMA, and at 23:25, on GTV), and will feature most of the ex-housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition, including Big Winners Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca, Big Placers AZ Martinez, Ralph de Leon, River Joseph, Will Ashley, and Esnyr Ranollo, and Ex-Housemates Xyriel Manabat, Kira Balinger, Klarisse de Guzman, Josh Ford, Dustin Yu, and Bianca de Vera.
At the heart of the story are the Fernandez brothers—Gio (Brent), Martin (Ralph), and Francis (Will)—who are unexpectedly reunited after the mysterious death of their father, whom they never knew. Their lives collide when they inherit Hotel 88, a once-grand property haunted by unresolved conflicts and long-buried secrets.
Their claim, however, is quickly challenged by the influential Almazan family, led by Luna Almazan (Mika), Leon Almazan (River), Jade Almazan (Bianca), and Justin Almazan (Josh), who assert their own stake in the historic hotel. What follows is a tense battle of loyalty, power, and truth, where shifting alliances and hidden revelations threaten to destroy both families.
As tensions rise between the Ferndandezes and the Almazans, viewers will discover how Sari (AZ), Edward (Dustin), Raphie (Esnyr), Monette (Klarisse), Cheska (Xyriel), and Trixie (Kira) become deeply entwined in the lives of both families—each with personal stories and hidden agendas that reveal what truly brought them to Hotel 88.
Apart from the PBB Celebrity Collab 1.0 ex-housemates, The Secrets of Hotel 88 also features industry veterans Dominic Ochoa, Gardo Versoza, and Ina Raymundo. Henry Quitain serves as the director of the series.
Furthermore, Mika Salamanca launched her single Kasalanan ahead of the scheduled press conference for the Kapuso-Kapamilya primetime series (February 6, 2026). This follows the success of her single sung with Brent, “What If Tayo?”, which topped the MYX Daily Top 10 and has garnered over 1.1 million views on YouTube, and “Sino Nga Ba Siya”, which made waves as it topped iTunes Philippines and UAE songs charts. It also secured a spot in Singapore, Cambodia, Qatar, and broke into the top 10 of Spotify’s Viral Songs Chart with over 5 million streams.
The single, written by Star Music artist Jeremy Glinoga and WRIVE members Russu Laurente and Ishiro Incapas, talks about fearlessly and freely falling in love regardless of what other people think, landed instantly at the number 1 spot on iTunes Philippines and was among the featured tracks in the New Music Fridays list on Spotify and Billboard Philippines.
The music video of her single, available for streaming on the ABS-CBN Star Music YouTube Channel, featured not only the Kapuso singer-songwriter and actress, known for Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre and The Secrets of Hotel 88, but also Kapamilya actor Anthony Jennings, with whom Mika and Anthony delivered an action-packed, mafia-inspired love story, delighting many fans.
