Newsletter (10/3 to 10/9): Pinoy Big Brother Collab 3.0 is coming this month

The anticipation for the newest regular season of Pinoy Big Brother is finally happening in October, as ABS-CBN and GMA have once again collaborated for the first-ever civilian-based season under the title of Collab 3.0, after several weeks of working on the process of relocating to a new home situated in an undisclosed location and conducting online auditions for those taking part as housemates for the season.

With the new season about to begin, Pinoy Big Brother dropped a new teaser for the upcoming season, featuring its existing hosts from the Big Brother family – Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, Enchong Dee, Alexa Ilacad, and Gabbi Garcia – with Mavy Legaspi, a host from PBB Celebrity Collab Editions 1.0 and 2.0, who another host will soon replace, as the abbreviation “M.S.” was seen in the promo.

Online rumors suggest that “M.S.” stands for Michael Sager, a former Kapuso housemate from PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0 and a TV and film actor from Sparkle GMA Artist Center, who will replace Mavy as host and join the Big Brother family.

Additionally, citing that the show will air in October 2026, there are some rumors on the internet that the show will be a replacement for The People Have Spoken, led by Heart Evangelista and Sean Lucas, which, according to a promotional video for the game show, will air for the final three weeks leading up to the finale, scheduled to air on October 17, 2026.

In contrast, Pinoy Big Brother Collab 3.0 is estimated to premiere on October 24, 2026, if The People Have Spoken has aired its final episode on GMA. At the moment, GMA has not yet disclosed the official premiere date for the said reality show.

In addition, the previous season of PBB Collab, the PBB Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, will also mark its 1st anniversary since the 20 Teen Celebrity Housemates entered the house, particularly the two Big Winners from that season, Caprice Cayetano and Lella Ford.

The previous regular season of Pinoy Big Brother was Gen 11, which, unlike the upcoming season that will air on GMA, was seen on Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5, and was known for its all-female Big Four housemates, including Kai Montinola, Kolette Madelo, Rain Celmar, and Fyang Smith, all of whom, including other 14 housemates from that season among the 20 entered housemates, have entered their artistry with Star Magic, and have been appeared in several television shows, dramas, films, musical compositions, music videos, and many other appearances of the like, including Dingdong Bahan, one of the ex-housemates of the season who appeared in an ABS-CBN-GMA collaboration series, Honor Thy Mother – a first in the history of PBB Gen 11 to feature in a TV series under the said partnership of the two Philippine media companies.

PBB Gen 11 ex-Housemate and actor Dylan Yturralde drops his own self-titled Debut EP

After Jarren Garcia, Rain Celmar, Kolette Madelo, Kai Montinola, and Fyang Smith dropped their EP albums on all music platforms, another Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 ex-housemate has joined the recording industry: Dylan Yturralde, who has previously appeared in the Kapamilya series Love at First Spike and Sins of the Father, and the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival entry film Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins’ “2025” segment.

Debuted with his recently released EP, “Dylan”, a collection of songs that captures the beauty and messiness of love. The rising Gen 11 ex-housemate, with a penchant for vintage and old-soul music, hopes to showcase his romantic side and help listeners, including his fans, connect with different faces of love through his songs.

Produced under the ABS-CBN Music label, StarPop, helmed by its label head, Roque Santos, the EP explores loving, losing, finding one’s way back, and learning to move forward through its five pop tracks, consisting of Hulog Ng Langit (composed by Ato Arman), Ngayon (written by Trisha Denise), Halata Naman Na (penned by Dennis Campañer), Pikit (composed by Gio Ravelo), and Dito Ka Lang (written by Ron Pangyarihan).

Ngayon, the EP’s key track, is an ode to finding peace in the now. It is an intimate love song about finding comfort and peace in simply being with a loved one, without the need to define what the future holds. Dylan revealed that Ngayon holds a special place in his own heart.

Dylan Yturralde, PBB Gen 11’s one and only Astig Volleybae of Pampanga, made a mark with his first musical project post-PBB, following his appearance as Ethan in Love at First Spike, one of the recently nominated entries for the 54th International Emmy Awards for the “Kids: Live Action” category, as well as Ken in Sins of the Father, and Marco in Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins’ “2025” segment.

As an artist from Star Magic and a former member of the University of the East (UE) Men’s Volleyball Team, he is grateful for this new opportunity and the blessings that have come his way in 2026, particularly the chance to share his gift of singing, especially as the PBB Gen 11 ex-housemate turned 24 years old last Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (b. 2002).

Excited ako sa mga dumarating na blessing sa akin kasi bago ang lahat. Sa [Star Magic] All-Star Games [2026], I played basketball. I haven’t played competitive basketball before. Ngayon may sarili na akong kanta. Makikita ko na yung sarili ko sa Spotify. You are never ready; kailangan matapang ka lang at i-enjoy mo ang process, at dapat mahal mo ang ginagawa mo, Dylan concluded.

During the media conference for his album launch held on September 30, 2026, several PBB Gen 11 ex-housemates supported the forthcoming debut EP, including Marc Nanninga, Kanata Tapia, Jan Silva, Gwen Montano, Jas Dudley-Scales, JP Cabrera, Binsoy Namoca, and Rain Celmar.

Before the release of his debut EP, Dylan, alongside Jas, Binsoy, and Rain, appeared in a music video for Jarren Garcia’s Gotchu on May 29, 2026. He also appeared as Raphael in the “Happy Libing” episode from Regal Studio Presents, which aired on GMA-7 a day after PBB Gen 11 premiered on ABS-CBN platforms.

Dylan also thanked Star Magic, VP Global Management, Rox Santos (Label Head for StarPop), Jonathan Manalo (Creatives, Content, and Operations Head for ABS-CBN Music), Roxy Liquigan, Dylan Spikers Official, PBB Gen 11 ex-housemates, the cast of Love at First Spike, and his friends for his latest journey beyond acting.

The Bardagulan of Red Crown begins on October 28; Miguel, Rayver, and Ruru remain part of Kapuso

The Bardagulan Pageantry, with a mix of beauty, brains, and bloodshed, is about to happen on October 28, 2026, as GMA Pictures will bring a satirical comedy-thriller film that takes the glamorous and fiercely competitive world of beauty pageants to a shocking extreme in Red Crown, under the direction of Dominic Zapata.

The premise of the film is a feat of 25 contestants competing in the 25th edition of the Queen of the Islands pageant, where they will discover that the glamorous competition has become a deadly fight for survival. Each fatal elimination of each contestant will face betrayal, sabotage, and mounting fear, while uncovering the dark system behind the pageant, including the record-breaking cash prize of PHP 25,000,000.00 (USD 398,768.60).

Combining fierceness with a mix of fear, the film shows satire, comedy, and survival-thriller elements that the film has to offer, taking the beauty, rankings, scores, pasarela, competition, and sisterhood to the next level, but pushing them to an absurd extreme. The film further intensifies with pressure to be beautiful and perfect, while turning survival of the fittest into a literal battle for the crown.

GMA Pictures dropped its full trailer for Red Crown, which soared in online trends among fans of each star-studded cast of several Sparkle Artists, as well as achieving more than 3 million online video views, as of September 30, 2026. Fans will expect the contestants to uncover the truth and how they expose the deadly competition to the world, including what they can set aside their differences to fight back together to survive.

As for the star-studded casts of Red Crown, the film stars several Sparkle artists, including  Yana Aduana, Alethea Ambrosio, Ara Arida, Herlene Budol, Skye Chua, Faith da Silva, Michelle Marquez Dee, Haley Dizon, MJ Encabo, Shuvee Etrata, Gazini Ganados, Rein Hillary, Maika Kemmochi, MJ Lastimosa, Aira Lopez, Sanya Lopez, Ahtisa Manalo, AZ Martinez, Ashley Ortega, Vanessa Peña, Sandy Riccio, Jade Tecson, Tarah Valencia, Yna Angela Uy, and Yza Thalia Uy.

Also joining in the upcoming Kapuso film were Michael de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Bianca Manalo, Vince Maristela, Roxie Smith, Christian Singson, Jay Ortega, Tim Yap, Pinky Tobiano, Cat Arambulo, Anna Magkawas, and Ms. Ruffa Gutierrez. Kit Villanueva and Ken de Leon wrote the complete storyline for the film.

Red Crown is set to be released in Philippine cinemas on October 28, 2026.

Also, three of the young actors who have been in the industry will continue to spark the Kapuso spirit in their newest chapter as Miguel Tanfelix, Rayver Cruz, and Ruru Madrid renew their contracts with GMA Network and its talent agency, Sparkle GMA Artist Center.

For more than two decades in the showbiz industry, Taskforce Firewall lead star Miguel Tanfelix, known as a contestant of GMA’s reality show Starstruck Kids, has transitioned from the young Pagaspas to an established leading man and turned 28 years old last Monday, September 21, 2026 (born 1998).

As the Primetime Prince of the Kapuso Network and Sparkle, Miguel Tanfelix continues to deliver brilliant performances and hosting gigs beyond acting in a Kapuso drama, as when he appeared in the educational show Planet XP.

He also received several achievements and awards as a Kapuso artist, including The German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at the FAMAS Awards, Best Actor at the Asian Academy Creative Awards, and TV Actor of the Year at the 11th Platinum Stallion National Media Awards.

Meanwhile, Kapuso leading man and Ultimate Performer Rayver Cruz has built a strong career across multiple on-air appearances and through live performances in All-Out Sundays. He also appeared in several Kapuso dramas, including Nagbabagang Luha, Bolera, Asawa ng Asawa Ko, Sanggang-Dikit FR, and Born To Shine.

Furthermore, Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid, known for several Kapuso primetime dramas, Black Rider and Lolong, and a winner for Best Supporting Actor in the Metro Manila Film Festival, continued his path with a range of roles in different genres, showcasing his versatility in his craft.

Annette Gozon-Valdes; First Vice President and Head of Sparkle GMA Artist Center Ms. Joy C. Marcelo; Officer-in-Charge for Entertainment Group and Vice President for Drama Ms. Cheryl Ching-Sy; and Assistant Vice President for Talent Management Mr. Vic Del Rosario.
